oki.. been having my 8 for about 2 years now, but due to some other business, i just now came near to buying her some new "clothing"

big problem would be that i live in a country where roads are the likes of which a trip to hell and back would be a seen as holiday. yeah, if you plan on low-rides, don't bring them to Romania.

now, i'd love to get myself one of those low bumpers (read body-kits). but i know for a fact that those that have them use certain roads and others are "forbidden". those that don't follow that rule often get to change their front bumper in a couple weeks.

the only way to get around this would be to get some hidraulic or pneumatic suspensions underneath.

problem is that try as i might, i found next to nothing on the net, and least of all a set that would work well with an rx8. any of you guys got any pointers?

yeah, i could let her stock-look, but there are quite a bit of stock-looking ones around, and i don't exactly like it when people are in dobut wheather it's my car or not :hahano:

cheers!

i wish i could lower my car AND have a body kit too, but it is really one or the other at most for me. even in stock form, ive already had to replace the chassis underbraces because they were bent going over a raised manhole, so i cant even lower her much at all...

anyway, im not sure about romania, but there simply arent enough 8's around here to have to worry about not being very unique. i have yet to encounter another titanium 8 in a city of a quarter-million people.

i think the best option is adjustable coilovers. they do not have the on-the-go adjustability of hydraulics or pneumatics, but you can plan ahead & adjust them when you really need to... it just takes more time. a bonus is that they are lighter, dont take up trunk space, & increase performance (depends on models & settings).

Savannah is up to a quarter million people? WOW! Livin' the big city life down there. I have been there before. Pretty nice if you ask me. I am also impressed with the knowledge you have Zaglo.

yeah, but when about every freekin' junction is met by tram lines which raise at least 5 cm above the road (or are about 5 cm underneath), i'd have to always keep them on a higher height, making the dear 8 look like a low-rider truck. not something i'd wish, that's why i wanted, regardless of increased weight and room, some "push and raise" gadget.
i could also go for some permanent higher suspensions, but that's a no-no either.

hmm.. someone stop me before i steal the pneumatic suspension form my dad's s500 :P

as for rx8s... well.. let's see. besides mine,
in galati, my hometown, 400 k ppl, there are 3 other 8s. one red (just like mine), one yello, and one black.

in iasi (my actual city,) about 450 k ppl, there are 4 8s... 2 red(just like mine), one black, and one blue. (when i came in iasi, i had the only 8 :wallbash: )

so far the under-car leds kept me a bit unique.. bastards took up that too! :cussing:

tnx for answer, anyway :) but i have to keep looking. there HAS to be something out there just waiting for my baby... :dubs:

awwww thanks....hahaha. im not really sure what the population is, but i think with all the 'suburbs' & stuff outside the city limits (there are lots), its getting close, but it still feels very small. i like it, though....

Wouldn't pneumatic suspension makes the handling of the 8 bad?

point is though, the guy knows what he wants (i think). i understand his dilemma. wish there was a better solution, but as far as i know, there isn't.
