I want a GSX-R. I miss my 750.
smrx8 02-24-2006, 09:49 AM :( yeah i had a gsxr 600 back in 2000 but totaled it rookie mistake it was my first bike i missed mine too. yep its the same color
strokercharged95gt 02-24-2006, 09:57 AM I had a 99 CBR 600 F4 about 3-4 years back, loved that bike. I would just leave that bike stock, I loved having a quiet bike plus they don't draw negative attention from the jake.
smrx8 02-24-2006, 10:08 AM Umm not me right now its getting an exhaust , powercommander and airfilter put in and i just ordered a damber for it. i can seem to let a mike go everytime i decide to stop riding i keep buying another :scratchhe
dupa12345 02-24-2006, 10:12 AM looks sharp .. but isnt kind of missing a couple of wheels
StewC625 02-24-2006, 10:20 AM Now that is what Zoom Zoom is all about!
DerrickWilliams 02-24-2006, 12:36 PM sold my 2002 f4i a few months back. I miss it but those things are just too damn fast. I would usually be going 110-120 and often couldnt resist taking it to 145. I think it's best that I dont have a bike. Too many idiots on the road.
babylou 02-24-2006, 01:02 PM :( yeah i had a gsxr 600 back in 2000 but totaled it rookie mistake it was my first bike i missed mine too. yep its the same color
How do you total a bike and live to tell the tale?
DOMINION 02-24-2006, 01:42 PM ^ You would be surprised! Just seen a guy get hit 3days back. I'll tell you later
Terrance26 02-25-2006, 06:44 AM I totaled my r6 back in may of 05, 3 days out the hospital I bought a 04 kaw 636 and still loving it. I love to ride. I painted the kaw winning blue.
Terrance26 02-25-2006, 06:48 AM How do you total a bike and live to tell the tale?
If you wear your gear like you are supposed to, you have a better chance of walking away. When I totaled my bike I broke my right elbow, right wrist, right thumb, and right pinky. And on my left I broke my left wrist and thumb. It was due to doing stupid stuff, like they say you live and you learn. Right now I have a new respect for motorcycles, I used to think that I was invinsible. Not anymore I ride more defensively now.
SilverEIGHT 02-25-2006, 07:21 AM I used to ride until I crashed. T-Boned a car that pulled in front of me. Not fun. Left wrist bone exploded and I'm lucky to have two hands now. I gained a tremendous amount of respect. Being out of work for 3 months was not a good experience. However, the insurance was nice! I've not purchased another bike since then and that was 25 years ago. I do think I will purchase one in the future. As much as I love the new crotch rockets, I don't think I would go that route. The technology that has developed over the past 25 years is absolutely amazing and that beautiful Kawi 636 is no exception. Congratulations! I'd like to see a pic of your 8 and bike side by side. :icon_tup:
mysql101 02-25-2006, 08:26 AM All was well, until the rider found himself embedded in a tree.
I'd love to have one too, but I'd be dangerous on it. :(

smrx8 02-25-2006, 11:20 AM How do you total a bike and live to tell the tale?
To make a long story short i was going over 100 mph with a few guys and hit a big pot hole lost control the bike threw me off and the bike went straight into a used car dealer flipped over 3 cars in the lot and landed.I got to walk away only with road rash but this made me respect these beast i thought nothing can happen to me .like one of the members said you live and learn rookie mistake trying to keep up with the big guys.after that i took 1 year off and hoped on another bike r6 and now this 636.I thank god for me being ok and noone got hurt because of me ignorance.
Nemesis8 02-25-2006, 11:45 AM A full set of leathers and a full face helmet can work wonders. I also used to ride - Yamaha 750 Seca. I never crashed on the pavement, but I did slide off the road in the dirt, down the hill, and straight into a thorn tree! The bike was fine, but I had several punture wounds from the thorns.
I can't find any pics of my bike, but here is what it looked like. I had Vance & Hines work the heads, and slapped a nice header on it also. It could smoke back in the early days.

Yes I had my kaw painted winning blue like my AT 8 I had, I traded my AT for a 6sp Ti. I will go in the garage and take a picture of it. Sorry about the pic its a 1 car garage so the space is limited. In the background is my girls yellow 600rr. Its kinda dirty cause I haven't ridden it in about 2 weeks, and you can tell I been painting in the garage because their is a red tint on the bike(don't worry its just overspray it comes right off).
Terrance26 03-18-2006, 10:06 AM thats my winning blue 636, oh yeah I just put chrome wheels on it too.
Racer X-8 03-18-2006, 04:27 PM Nice bike! Wow, those brake rotors are crazy looking.
I used to ride too. I never had an incident myself and loved it for the most part. I just stopped for another reason (ahem wife ahem). I do know a guy who was forced to t-bone a car. I guess its been about 4 or 5 years now and he's still got major med issues. He's lucky to have survived it at all, he almost didn't. He still has wierd things happen to him, like he has a stroke from complications about a year ago. He's like about 35 years old. Cripes. So, be carefull, be very carefull. This guy has a bad rep about crazy fast driving habits. He claims this old man pulled out in front of him, but nobody can verify if he was or was not tearing ass down that 25 mph stretch of road. The cops already knew he was going faster than 25, but how much is unknown, and he won't tell anybody, his med bills are too high to be playing around with who was really at fault.
W1CK3Dninja 03-18-2006, 04:46 PM i have the same bike! 06 blue is better than the 05 blue. within 1 month i put on:
