Cheap drift rim/tires

I have been wanting to get into drifting but the one thing stopping me is the cost of 18" tires and rims. After doing some research it seem sthat the BACK brake rotors of the rx-8 AT are the same size as the rotors on the MT. This begs the question will the stock 16" AT Rx-8 rims fit onto the BACK of the MT? If so that would be a great way to get some cheap rims and even cheaper tires that I could destroy
