I get tired of people complaining about bad gas mileage. THIS IS A SPORTS CAR. It is fun to drive. If you have ever had an extremely good piece of ass, then you know it is High maintenance. The same goes here. This car was born to be driven by all of us here. You have this car. Admired by many.....when you give it the goose ...it responds! I just love looking at it...I love to turn the stereo down and listen to it whine...It whines sexier than my wife ever thought of. My car is not an every day driver. I have had it 2 years and have 6500 miles....My idea is to dog it on weekends or my days off and have it look as good as it does now...in 10 years...That I will do. God bless this car! If you want MPG, buy a Hybrid

i'm getting tired of threads that complain about people that complain about gas mileage. Everyone needs to pick up their skirts and sack it up and quit complaining. That is all :) Rant for the day hehe.

Your post clearly proves you don't care about gas mileage in any way...

Two years and only 6.5k? That should be an offence - Ride Abuse!

Mine sees all the loving miles I can give it, it's not a second/collectable/rare item to be found pristine, in your barn in twenty years! :mdrmed:

My highest mileage so far on a tank of gas = 317. My lowest = 256. Average miles to a tank = about 280.

I complain not. I'm getting plenty of smiles per gallon.

The RX-8 should be tracked based on smiles per gallon.

You should consider using a condom when flirting around with your 8. Take it from me, without it your suseptible of catching mod-o-ria, a form of post-wankel disease. If left untreated, the ricer like symptoms can spread and inflict havoc on ones pocket book. let be, you've have been forewarned :)

How low do you take your 8 gas wise. I start getting nervous around 1/4 tank.

I agree, but there's no denying that cars with much more power on average get better fuel consumption. It's only one aspect of the car though. It's worth all the little quirks after you drive it how it's meant to be driven.

That shouldn't be any big deal since the 8 is listed in edmunds as most economical to own in it's class. It would be hard to find a sports car under $45k more satisfying than the 8. I agree it's worth the quirks. It's a solid little car.
