the schick extreme 3 tho.. my favorite ever along with the sensor. the mach 3 was too user friendly and didnt get close enough... no nicks but no smoothness either.

i like my razors to cut close, and punish me for being a fool with it.

Dude, the 4 blade was by Schick. And yes, it sucked ass. It was poorly designed, especially the fact that it was next to impossible to clean the blades out. But this, this could be promising.

Plus it was free.

I actually like my 2 blade Sensor Excel better than the Mach III. I don't buy into the more is better fads.

5+1 or whatever. 1 blade to shave your sideburns with. Next months they'll say that you can't shave your sideburns that well with only 1 blade so we'll have the 5+2. Then we'll see the 5+3 and so on. Soon we'll have the 5+5 which lets you use 1 side and then turn it over before you clean it off. Then we'll see the 5+5+1 so you can run both sides of your face and have a blade to trim your sideburns with. My head is going to explode!

The funny thing is, when that first came out I read a magazine article by the checkout registers in the supermarket. The PR guy for Gilette was saying, "it's not about how many blades there are. It's NEVER been about how many blades there are. yada yada yada..."

Well, essentially the underwear looked completely the same, like a pair of tighty-whities basically, but no fly. Leg holes and waist band same size. You put them on and wear them like normal. Instead of changing them everyday you just rotate, i.e. waist becomes a leg hole, et cetera, et cetera. Well, when you have done three days you've used up that side of them. You then turn them inside out and start the whole process over. When you have used up that side, starting on day seven, you take them off and go without while you spend day seven washing them. This was a Japanese invention. :eek:

First of all, damn you saturn :p

Second, I shaved yesterday morning. It wasn't painful, all my skin is still intact. I can't say it shaves better than a Mach 3. At least not in the new blade vs new blade department. That might change when the blades dull a bit. However, it seemed to shave easier. Where with a Mach3 I might have had to go over my chin, or around my jaw, twice; I could do it in one stroke with the Fusion. It seems to pivot better. The +1 blade was actually a really nice addition. It made it really easy to trim your side burns.

I'd recommend it if you don't already have a Mach3.

After 4 days, I was hoping for more bells and whistles than that! Oh well... I'll stick with the Mach 3.

Alright, I've been using this for a little over a week. I have had a change of heart. I'd pay the 9.99 CDN it costs just to get that +1 blade. It's that useful. I was growing a little beard and it made it so easy to keep the edges clean. And I seem to get less razor burn with it. Usually with a new blade I get a bit of a burn on my neck, it was far less with this new razor.
