I would love to see someone do this. If someone can get there hands on Cam or Richards product without management and are close I will personally tune it for free! Scott

or the power enterprise kit, that kit is screaming for some management. I guess I would have to be a local to take advantage of the free thing eh? ;)

Don't you hate threads that ask questions but don't have a question mark in the title?

For April Fools this year, I am going to start a thread titled: "400 RWHP supercharged RX-8 in my garage"

Then for the first post I am going to say: "When am I going to get a 400 RWHP supercharged RX-8 in my garage?"

I think I am going to go that route when Richard finishes his unit. Sell my GReddy kit, and pick up the Axial Flow S.C. I don't think I'll be driving to Florida though Scott :p:

Yeah, I wonder what benefits could be gotten with the Int X on that SC. If we could get that to 290 or 300hp flat .... SC?!?! .... THAT would be cool.

ScottRP is not going to let that happen I bet. The only hope is Cam. I wish I could get a frickn supercharger one day before I die of old age. My goal is for 2007 it seems to go FI with an SC.

Scott, why not copy the Dana Motorsports ProCharger kit and bundle it up with the -X? The want $8700 USD

You guys waiting for a SC don't have a clue what you are missing... FI has been out for a year. Enjoy being slow! :bootyshak

Seriously, the differences between FI methods boil down to opinions. The state of the market is that there is ONE commercially viable FI kit in the US. There are 2 fuel management systems to choose from. We've been waiting for how long for PTP, SFR, Pettit, RP, etc. etc....to come out with other TCs or SCs?? With the exception of perhaps RP, I don't think the others have been altogether straightforward about their progress, or lack thereof.

If you are still waiting because you think that the EMS isn't mature yet, you're not really paying attention. Int-X is a fine ~$1500 solution. And, if you haven't been paying attention, the eManage is perfectly capable of providing fuel and timing control in a quasi-standalone mode. Check my sig.

I guess my feeling is that the car is so much fun to drive with the TC that I'm glad I didn't wait any longer for another kit to come out. Especially since their development can be largely characterized by 1) missed rollouts 2) lack of information / misinformation. I bought this car to have fun. Time spent waiting for the warranty to expire, or waiting a couple of more years for a different FI kit, would have been time lost that I could have been enjoying my 8 that much more.

I just want you guys to enjoy the feeling of 250 ft-lbs of torque as much as I do!

I personally don't understand this either. Alot of people I talk to with 8's all say they want to go FI, but are waiting for a SC option. I guess they are under the impression that it is somehow safer for your engine. This is completely not true. Torque is torque, whether it be from NA mods or TC or SC. Torque=cylinder pressure=wear and tear. There is no reason that a SC will be safer than a TC.

I personally prefer TC for many reasons.

1. SC tend to change the power band of the car - TC do not.
2. With a turbo you can easily run low boost or high boost settings depending on your mood.
3. With the greddy turbo you have virtually no turbo lag.
4. A turbo is more efficient than a SC, unless its centrifugal, or maybe axial flow (I'm not sure about axial flow, never knew anyone using one or seen any good data on one.)
5. Unless its centrifugal, SC generally make less overall power due to their reduced efficiency. Even with centrifugal, since its belt driven, all the power is peak power.
6. SC rob a greater % of power from the engine to run. TC still rob some, but not nearly as much. This is another reason why SC generally create less overall power.

All that said, I can understand wanting something unique though like the axial flow SC as opposed to the now common Greddy kit.
Also, not saying a SC is worse than a turbo. Just saying its not any better, so why wait.

I just want you guys to enjoy the feeling of 250 ft-lbs of torque as much as I do!We will one day, well at least I will one day. I have enjoyed reading your acomplishments, and my hats off to you. Remember I awarded you a special medal for your P2 management :)

I just want to be different I guess, and log my experience when it happens with a blower, that's all. I actually need to wait, because I am building a new garage onto my house. I have no place to work on my car at the moment.
