i FINALLY got my black GT today and i think i drove around for a good 3 hours, learning the clutch and navigation...anyways, while buying the car, the parts manager asked if i wanted anything else on the car...i noticed the car looked GREAT with a spoiler and felt missing without one, especially since i have the appearance package already installed...well he told me the stock spoiler came $395 painted and installed, the same ones that were on 2 of the cars at the dealer showroom...i told him i liked the Mazdaspeed spoiler...after a call to his outside vendor, he informed me that BOTH spoilers are $395 painted and installed!!! i made him reassure me at least 10 times they were the Mazdaspeed one, the ones with metal brackets and about 3 inches taller than the stock one...he reassured me every time that he absolutely KNEW which ones i was talking about...so he factored the wing into my financing and i ended up paying about $412 after taxes for the Mazdaspeed wing, and it is in writing

do i have anything to worry about? i've seen in various places that this wing goes for well over $1000 painted and not even installed...plus he says the part will be in by the end of this week...i'm a bit skeptical but if i do get this wing for that price, i'm just letting you all know that you may be able to bargain with your parts dealer...

if thats the right spoiler your one lucky s.o.b.,im sure it will be correct or atleast a replica of the mazdaspeed version.let us know when you get it.:D

lol, that's what i was gonna say! 2003 Mazdaspeed Protege spoiler or the 2003.5 Mazdaspeed Protege spoiler! both would look kinda odd on the RX-8, imo!

at least you have it in writing....that is your most important piece of information that will work for you - a written contract saying you will get a mazdaspeed spoiler.

however, just like the other posts say, it could be a mazdaspeed protege spoiler and if it doesnt specifically say what type of mazdaspeed spoiler (in this case MS rx8 spoiler) then you could be left screwed legally.

if the contract just states you are paying for a mazdaseed spoiler and not a mazdaspeed rx8 spoiler, then its basically open to interpretation. but hopefully, you did get the right one
