View Full Version : My new titanium RX-8
dwebb 08-04-2003, 02:12 PM Picked it up last Thursday. The dealer offered it to me for MSRP on the last day of the month. I didn't plan on buying one so soon, but I couldn't pass up the deal.
It's a sweet drive!
That's my RX-7 in the garage. It just turned 11 years old.

ZoominRex 08-07-2003, 01:25 AM I just picked up my Titanium Gray RX8 this past week as well but at Sunnyvale Mazda. I see you have a Passat in the background! I traded in my Passat for my new toy. It was a very hard thing to do considering the Passat was my first real car. Ever been to clubb5.com? They are a great little community of Passat owners.
ZoominRex 08-07-2003, 01:26 AM Hey Voodoo...what kit is that on your car? It looks CLEAN!!!
zerohour 08-10-2003, 12:35 AM Grats looks good. I love my TI RX8.
Those little aluminum vent pieces look sharp!

It's the standard Mazda appearance package. Got it tinted this weekend and will post some more pics when my clear side markers come in.

The Passat is an excellent car. My wife has been driving it for a year without any problems. She loves it; it's her 3rd VW. Thanks for the web site recommendation!
We just had our first baby, born last Thursday. The Passat is the main kid & dog car, but I will definitely be putting a child seat in the back of the '8. In fact, that's one of the reasons I got the '8. My wife wanted me to be able to help with dropping off & picking up the kid from day care in a few months, so she urged me to get the new car. Don't I have just the best wife in the world? ;-)
Now I've got the best of all worlds: An RX-7 for those times when I feel the need for speed, and the RX-8 for having fun every day on my way to work AND for going places with my new little girl.
pullinteef 08-14-2003, 01:20 AM Very nice voodoo. Much nicer than that crappy viper in the background. I couldn't decide between titanium and blue for my 6SP GT, then when I saw the blue i just had to have it. Already got 1850 mi. on it, and getting better every day. Next up - strakes.

You don't like my Dodge Viper?
pullinteef 08-14-2003, 09:43 AM Doh! Really that's yours? I can't see a viper owner getting an RX-8 truthfully. Don't see many owners of fast American and Japanese cars. At least around here. Though having said that, I'm sure they'll all come out of the woodwork to tell me about it now.:)

Nah.. I'm just yanking your chain.. hehe.. :)
I tried to get a photo with the viper and the 8 side by side just for kicks but the spots got taken up. I also saw a nice Lamborghini this weekend but it was surrounded by other parked cars..
I will post some new pictures this weekend since I finished-up just about all of my add-ons - strakes, sidemarkers, mp3 player, tint - I guess the only thing left I want is the european spoiler and that would just about wrap it up for me (maybe the pillar garnish too). Anyway, I will try to take a couple more pictures this weekend and post to the multimedia section. The car's look is pretty much settled and will stay the same for some time to come. Pics are viewable through my sig below.
Lee Chun 08-15-2003, 10:49 PM wow at MSRP too! looks like an awesome buy. i hope i can find one at MSRP too..=)
