mazdaspeed shocks How well do they work

I was looking at mazdaparts.com and i found that the MS shocks are about 100 bucks? for the front n rear? is that the actuall price or did i see something wrong?

My question is how well do they work, my cars at the shop right now getting new rims , tires , and springs but for about 220 for shocks too ? why not just add em on.

But like i said, How do they performe

i think that is per shock, but im not sure, maybe per pair....send Thew an e-mail (sorry, don't know his address). You could probably also PM truemagellan. Haven't experienced them myself, so I can't really give you any info as to how they perform.

mazdaspeed shocks/springs are pretty much as stiff as it goes for the rx8, just keep that in mind.

That is per shock, not per pair. Also the MS Shocks & springs should be bought together. If you are putting MS springs on without the shocks the ride/handling will be crap, and also vice versa.

if you have MS springs, get the shocks. if your have anything else, you probably dont need shocks, just use your stock shocks.

I do. I like thm alot. I also had the sway bars installed too. It seems to handle much better. There first serious curve i took right after geting the car from the shop the only thing i could say was damn. It just bit in and held, i was impressed. Ride is a little rougher but it is indeed worth it!

Thanks a lot, im going to get the mazdaspeed suspension on mine. From a rating of 1 to 10 on ride quality (1 being lowest and 10 being highest, what would you rate it? And what would you rate stock too?

I depends but what you mean ride quality i could only say the rebound RATE IS CRAZY as soon as u see a bump u brace for the instant bah bah bah which is so quick its just nuts but def no more nose dive in braking situations and def stiffer on accelerating but if u just get the springs and shocks like i did it doesnt eliminate the roll. thats 1 thing i noticed next on my list are sways and struts but oh man is it so much better its stiff but not killer u can take it on shitty roads but ull feal it and on smooth roads its good also just imagine a perfect stiffness and ms is there not painfull but it aint no lincoln conti!! : )

it's been well documented that the OE shocks will give up the ghost with aftermarket springs, you need shocks or shocks and springs, but not springs only
