Ok, i'm not sure if esoul is on the board anymore or not, so i'll try to find out from the rest of you.
Does this intercooler look painted to you or not? It looks perfect to me, but I can't tell why.

Oh, and please... no more comments about his hood. That has been thoroughly discussed in his original thread.

i think that it just appears dark due to the shadow from the bumper above it & the fact that it is in the shade of the garage(?) or house. definitely looks good, though.

it looks better and clearer b/c there is no mesh on the bumper.

You'll needa intercooler to make it look nice. Then go FI.

welll, i should see how mine looks in a few weeks with the MS bumper and report back then. I was thinking of spray painting the intercooler black as it is too visible, but if it looks like this one... i'll just leave it alone.

You know. His looks painted due to the lighting in that pic.

i dont think there is. it doesnt look like a real MS kit (no offense to owner-still looks really nice), so unless he did it himself there shouldnt be any there. also, the mesh would have to be extremely fine, because it just doesnt show up in the picture.

Here's the owner with more pictures (http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=72630) posted. I believe he was selling it as of last month.

That kit is a MS replica one and it didn't have any mesh installed at the time. (I believe he just had it installed after being in a wreck.)

Anyways, the intercooler looks normal to me. Just may be dark because of the lighting.

Don't think it is painted.

If a person did paint the intercooler wouldn't that make it less effective?

I was actually about to ask the same thing, as I want to paint mine soon. I think mine is a little too visible, since I think ings+1 has the largest opening in the front. I know PURNRG has his thermal coated, but I am wondering if spray painting it would harm it in any way. Also the picture of that person's MS is just the lighting. Otherwise the intercooler would be very visable. Trust me!

I'd rather not pay for a whole new intercooler though.
