they are always down more then here but if is down here it will down on the rx7 fourm also.

The RX-8 forum pretty much dropped out after I uploaded those pictures onto the West Coast discussion thread, about 1:00 PDT Saturday. We had just had our first Northern California RX-8 meeting and a short drive, so I couldn't wait to share the pictures. If loading several 640 x 400 pictures is going to crash the server, then it's my fault.

Tried several times Sunday, wanted to know if anyone responded to the thread. We want another N. Cal meeting. No go, server down all day. The FTP server got through but everything on the website was hosed.

I think this is the 2nd or 3rd time recently that the site has been down most of the weekend. Is this by plan or for maintenance? Or does someone intentionally crash the server on weekends?

Or perhaps it needs alot of TLC and our administrator takes weekends off (can it be?) and therefore can't reboot during that time?

Inquisitive minds want to know. Maybe people involved can comment?

PS Why do I ask: yes I get withdrawal symptoms, yes I just keep trying, yes I usually give up pretty much by Sunday, but then get depressed even more. On the good side - I know if I can ping it, at least it's alive, just unwilling (or unable) to talk... and there is hope!

The same server that runs the RX-8 forum runs the RX-7 forum, the RX-7 Store, and Supraforums. The three forums are VERY high traffic/high usage, and sometimes it's amazing it stays up at all :).

They're also working on getting us on a new server with more bandwidth- between here and the RX-7 forums, we destroy what little we have constantly. Be patient, and it'll be fixed soon.

Could not get on this weekend. I tried several times. Sunday 8/3. It Says that I was logged in but never made it. pages not loading excessive wait times all on high speed cable.
