Rx8wannahaves thread about best performance for your $$ led me to this. 6 people, 6 not so objective people, think the 8 is the best performance for the dollar.

So, are you a fanbois? are you so jaded by your car that you can't be reasonable.

Depends on how ppl define 'performance' I suppose. What are the criteria? 'new cars' only? For the $25K I paid for my rx8, I could have found a used Mistu VR4 Gallant and made it a road-course domination machine. :)

Or - a used, stock STi.

the rx8 really isnt the ultimate in efficient spending o money for performance...kinda why im looking into e36 M3s at the moment :)

Could you kindly post a definition of Fanboi? I unsuccessfully tried Webster’s. I need to be informed before making the important decision of whether I am or whether I am not.

Back to the other post, I think that it would definatly depend on the definition of performance. The RX-8 is not the ultimate muscle car for the money by any means but looking at the whole package it ranks up there.

As for faults, mine is a borderline POS. It is in the shop WAY more than a new car should be. I still love to drive it.

Note: As you know, I said the EVO RS was the best with the Z06 being the best super car for your money.

I got my 6spd base for 25K...what else could I have gotten for that price?

Mustang GT

For me, of course...the RX8 was the better 2+2 sports car...but performance wise the Mustang GT is much better of course.

I love my 8, but there are some pretty dang good cars out there performance wise and while the 8 can fight very well...it's not the best bang for the buck.

As a usable 2+2 sports car...it's hands down the best, as just a sports car...it's not.
