Hello RX8Club Members :wavey: ,

Well after spending along stint on the sidelines(working o/t), its time I get rite back into the thick of things :ylsuper: . As organiser or RX8 Cruises on this website, this is now the next installment of Cruises to come in this new year 2006. I will be sending PM's in the next coming days, to all NSW members and Canberr'ians, to come along for the ride and have a great day.

This will be a cruise not to be missed, as it will be an awsum day for both u and your RX8 :jump: . Woronora Dam is a great place to start the day, not only is the drive great but the scenary is also excellent :rock: . Woronora Dam will be a great place for us to take photo's and have a mini pitstop. There are also a number of different areas at this location, that would accomodate our club and cars adequately.

Upon Departure from Woronora Dam, we would then cruise down the NEW scenic route to Wollongong :yesnod: . This new road has only been re-opened a week or two now. Which incorporates a new bridge near Stanwell Tops, that has some spectacular views along the way. In fact the majority of the cruise from Woronora Dam thru to Wollongong via this road has million dollar ocean views :yesnod: :yesnod: .

We will then arrive at one of Wollongong's famous attraction the Lighthouse, where we will relax and have some refreshments along with lunch and as always a friendly chat, b4 returning to our home's Sydney/Canberra/Melbourne/QLD etc. Food and drinks/alcohol would need to be purchased pre-hand, which im sure we can arrange prior to this event. Photo's will also be taken throughout the day which I will post, but please bring your cameras and video camera's along too, because theres never enough photo's taken :yesnod: :) .

I have made a couple of minor amendments : ), so that we can co-ordinate our cruise with our fellow Canberr'ian Members :eyetwitch . Now the changes are as follows, times have been slightly changed and we will now only stop at Woronora Dam for photo's and a mini pitstop. We will then procede thru to Wollongong, where we will have lunch :yumyum: with our Members from Canberra.

they are quite small and cute, i'm sure i can squeeze em somewhere. I just got called from the travel agent to go by pick up my stuff, and she told me im allowed only 20kg on plane :Eyecrazy: is that enough? lol and 8kgs to take into the plane wit me. well considering my mother prob doesnt travel with as much as i do.. i'll knick some of her kgs aswell.

Yes probably somewhere in the city is the best, Id suggest Cronulla coz its a little closer. But with recent problems in the area :Eyecrazy: , I would advise against that idea and stay in the city is a much safer option. Even though troubles have ceased :Freak_ani , I would not promote Cronulla just yet as nice as it is.

Best thing to do Adrian is work out who is going to pick you up and drive you for the first leg. Where they live will be the best guide.

Failing that the CBD is central to most so you can't go too far wrong if you just plump for one of the city hotels.

Wherebouts is the syd airport how far is it from the meet up point? if any1s near there? unless adrian wants to do some shopping for Miss 6 then best stay in CBD :)

I have decided to hold off from sending PM's for this Cruise, until the other cruise on the 29/1/06 has taken place. Missy K seems to have a lift from EZZY (let us know if that is no longer so), but Taka (and partner), Jambos and I (xxup) are looking for pick up on Sunday morning and drop off (preferably at the airport, but somewhere that can be accessed by taxi will also be good enough too...)

Taka (and partner) is booked in at the Pacific Hotel in George Street.. Doonson was their last great hope, but rumour is that he has been abducted by little green persons... :smoker:

Jambos and I have not booked accommodation yet as we are going to find a place that is easy for our ride/s to access... (We could suffer the Pacific Hotel I suppose.. :rolleyes: ) But if we don't get an offer soon, then the pick up point will be the fountain in Hyde park! :crying:

I have been busy with work and being a part time tour guide, having my cousin from o/seas over :Eyecrazy: .

Anyway its looking like the biggest RX8 Cruise to date in Australia :cool: , so it will be quite an awsum day. Its also great to hear that you guys and Kall have worked together in arranging rides for our interstate counterparts. I have also just checked with Doonie and have confirmed he will be picking up Taka :ylsuper: .

Questions have been raised as to what we will be eating for lunch. I had originally planned to have BBQ at Worornora Dam, but that was before our plans changed so that we could meet the Canberra Members also. In saying this where we will end up in Wollongong, there are no BBQ's facilitys for visitors to use unfortunately. So unless someone brings a BBQ along, that sort of cuts that out of the equation. There are a couple of food shops not that far away(walking distance) and there is also a Macca's/KFC/Pizza Haven/Hungry Jacks (i think) only a short drive away :ylsuper: . If you guys would like to bring some beverages as well you are more than welcome to, so just bring your esky and drinkies :beerchug: :) .

With only 13 days to go b4 the biggest RX8 Cruise ever to be held in Australia, I am already counting the days so make sure u don't miss out. And im also looking 4ward to catching up with a you all and checking out new mods as per usual hehe and meeting up with our interstaters :rock: .

there is a fishing and chips shop at the gong, and they do serve half decent food there. why dont we do that, provided we can get some hald decent parking spaces? there will be a car show that day at the gong, not sure exactly where it is, so parking maybe a problem at the light house...

or maybe we can book tables at Chilli's (the one at the round about, next to maccas).... but we need to know the numbers.....

Yes mate there will be enough space at this servo, as there is a few different parking bays within this servo(not sure if u noticed). And Its is too late to chop and change plans now (don;'t want to confuse any1):dunno: . Also another reason is that from this location we only have to travel on 2 roads before we reach Woronora Dam, so the group will not be lost or separated along the way (eg. due to traffic etc). From Woronora Dam thru to Wollongong there are only a few traffic lights, so it should not cause to much of a problem travelling thru in high numbers. So if u want the quick answer No :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: , sowy .
