View Full Version : Mazda Technical Service Bulletins
Ne0K1d 08-01-2003, 10:15 AM Can anyone suggest where to get information about Mazda released service technical bulletins for the Rx-8? I want to make sure I stay up to date if something comes up that Mazda is made aware of ...
Thanks!
:D

If the car isn't listed there is no TSB.
This is NOT the same thing as the dealer service departments get, but the TREAD ACT makes it law that all TSB's be reported to the government.

That's a great site too... Thanks again for the info!:D
Mazda Monkey 08-01-2003, 11:16 PM No bulletins have been issued yet.
Magnesium 08-01-2003, 11:35 PM I think I will just keep an eye on this forum. It will tell me way before I remember to go to those sites. :)
The official site for RX-8 TSB's and other related service information is - www.mazdatechinfo.com
This site is the official Mazda North American Operation site available to the general public and Mazda dealers.
The site is relatively new and is undergoing development to better integrate other related service information sites operated by Mazda North American Operations.
In the very near future the Workshop Manual, the Wiring Diagram Manual and 3 to 4 other specialty manuals will be made available for purchase (via online access or printed hard copy).
In addition, you will also be able to order Clothing and Specialty items, such as pewter desk weights of the RX-8.
FYI - Mazda is no longer supplying All Data with TSB's...that site is not a reliable source at this point for Mazda TSB's.

my10ae 10-20-2003, 09:14 PM Hi all:
I figured I'd add this link for technical bulletins. I use Finishline Performance for parts for my Miata. They recently have added a technical bulletins link for the RX-8. Check it out: http://www.finishlineperformance.com/rx8/docs/index.html
zoom44 10-20-2003, 09:56 PM doesn't the oil pan/baffles issue show as a tsb?

Interesting. However, is there any way to access Service Bulletins without a PAID Subscription?
If not, I would suggest that the site is mainly targeted to independant Shops and Technicians.
Is there a TSB by Mazda that is available to General Public & is freely available?
zoom44 10-21-2003, 11:49 AM sounds like another donation round to me. folks could chip in a couple of bucks to boostd and then he could pay the fee and then post all of the bulletins here. or one of the mods could occasionally check the tsbz

Sounds like a plan -- count me in.

I will cooperate, too.
SpacerX 10-21-2003, 05:47 PM I'd be willing to chip in for this, as well -- count me in.
Zoom49 10-22-2003, 12:22 AM I'm in also
jtimbck2 10-22-2003, 08:10 AM Don't mean to throw a damper on anyone's enthusiasm, but I doubt it would be legal for one person to subscribe to the TSB's and then republish them on a website. I think the TSB subscription thing is nothing but a scam though, I don't understand why car manufacturers are so reluctant to provide this info to their customers. What are they trying to hide?
I just purchased the service manual. That could be useful.
BOOSTD 7 10-23-2003, 07:20 PM I would love to do it, but the legalities would be an issue ... if I knew it was ok (doubtful) I'd do it.
syntrix 10-23-2003, 07:54 PM For $20 to scour through for 24 hours isn't that bad at all.
I'll pour over the legalities over the weekend. I think the biggest challenges will be defining public and copyrighted information and then defining if you are a shop or a privateer.
Either way, reproduction of the data is most likely going to be illegal. But what about discussion a paragraph or two, and linking back to the source of the site?
Good site either way!

And if you spring for the $20 you find the manuals for the 8 are not there yet.
Non-refundable, of course..
