"Oh, Snap!"
Where did this phrase come from-Dodgeball the movie? If someone pays off my 8, then "Oh Snap!" is appropriate? Is this the only phrase that is new?

It's been around for a lot longer than that too.
I remember hearing it back in middle school. Around the same time as Mc Hammer.
"Snaps" and "Bases" were insults.
Oh he just Based on your mom! etc..
At the time you could buy books with nothing but "Snaps" in them.
"You're mommas so fat.. etc etc" "Oh Snap!"
Which also became a way of saying "Oh are you going to take that?" or "You just got burned" "You got served" "Oh no you didn't!" etc.. It's all the same stuff.
You can also say it as a good reaction to something as in "Holy shit! Thanks." etc..
I've been saying "oh snap" for so long. I don't know when I first heard it. Maybe those were my first words when the doctor slapped my ass. hehe just j/k but ya I've heard that phrase maybe about 7-10 years ago.

Now that seems confusing because I have heard both ways...
Exclamation either way I guess.

It's a brit/australian/south african colloquialism for "oh shit" - a cleaned up "oh shit". Just the same that "bloody" is a universal substitute for "fucking" ... and in "absofuckinglutely = absobloodylutely"
