First of all let me start by saying that I have nothing against the Z or any Z owner. The Z is a great car...end of story. On the other hand, it took just one visit over to www.350zforum.com to realize that I made the right decision choosing an RX-8. Just visit and click on "Young Z owners" posted today July 31st. They just like to brag about who spent the most for thier car. Many of the post contain arrogant remarks about how their car is better than everyone else's. Don't even bother clicking on the one's that discuss the RX-8...that will just make you mad. Why can't people just like the car they like and not put down everyone else's choice? I'm not about to put down anyone else because of what kind of car they choose. Although I'm relatively new to this forum, I have enjoyed the positive attitudes displayed here. Very classy. I'm glad that I will soon join your ranks when I get my own RX-8...glad to be on-board.

I've also included a quote from one of the members discussing the RX, "Saw a new RX-8 at the Atlanta auto show. The leather seats already looked like crap. The material was falling off the seats. The interior was scuffed and generally looked like it was about to fall apart. This was a show car!"

I mean come on! Do you really expect people to believe that?!

I think these are the culprits on MSN auto reviews thrashing the 8.

Thanks for the opportunity to vent

Heh, actually I saw that car at the Atlanta show. The seats were pretty trashed. Not as bad as this guy claims though. The most noticable damage was to the hard plastic seat backing on the driver's side. Much of the side paint had be worn and chipped pretty badly from people grabbing the seat to get in and out of the back. But it also has to be known that the spokesman said that they had only used that one car for every auto show in the country so it had probably seen 20,000 or more people climb in and out of the car. The seats on the Mini's on display also had terrible wear and looked in worse shape than the RX demo.

350zforum.com is my least favorite 350Z forum. For a much larger, mature, and informative 350Z forum(which uses vbullitin fomat;) ) check out my350z.com

Well, I saw the 8 at the NY auto show too and the interior was a little messed up, but anyone with half a brain should know that's due to the hundreds of people going in and out of the car and clawing at the materials inside. Oh yea, I sat in a Z too and that interior was god-awful. Really cheap and boring looking, despite whether or not the material was all screwed up.
