Drs. decided to remove the bullet because it was a ricochet (no one was trying to shoot me) and the operation would have hurt, but I was out cold. Very very lucky.

357 magnum.. just shot at, not hit. Just your normal highschool experience.

paintballs have pretty big caliber, i've been hit by darts, once by a thrown knife (it didnt stick i was wearing a jacket) and i almost got arrowed another time.

Airsoft and paintball for me as well. Hopefull it stays that way when I become a police officer as well...

Never been shot with a real gun, though the first time I got shot with a paintball, I took it in the neck. This was almost 20 years ago... back when paintball guns were 3rd generation tree markers and the only protection we wore were goggles or safety glasses (no protective face/ear/head masks like everyone wears today).

Holy crap it hurt! But being in high school, I quite enjoyed that everyone mistook the resulting welt as a giant hickey :)

Don't mock 22 it can still kill you. My Dad's cousin was messing around and ended up with one in his stomach which killed him. i have been hit by a 177 pellet our of a rather low power airgun about 400fps which hurt like hell and penetrated the skin.

.177 BB. Paintball guns (hurt worse than the BB, btw). I nearly caught a ricochet .30 caliber round when I was a teenager. Went whizzing by, about 2-3ft from me. I used to hear rounds passing through the treetops on occasion, when I used to hunt deer (I stopped going there :) )

First time I got hit with a paintball was in the neck too. Fortunately, we were playing in winter and the rentals were all pump action CO2 powered Stingrays or some crap.

.762 from an AK (I am assuming that is what is was since that is all that is out here) while driving to the city of Tuz Iraq, it just grazed my arm as it flew through our unarmored hummer but it hurt like hell. Left a scar. I never did see where it came from though . . . lucky bastard (him not me)!

Wow, it looks like a couple of you got me beat. My scar's long and thin. The entry wound was about the size of a dime, but when they went in to take it out they sliced the pathway open. The only thing that really hurt was when the took the staples out about ten days later. That sucked!

Ricochet from a .357 Mag. Not much of a big deal. It didn't even break the skin, but it did leave one hell of a bruise. I had trouble breathing for a couple of days.

I don't know. I was pretty impressed. What's the rate of fire on one of those things in the muti-thousand of rounds of depleted uranium? You rock!

been hit by BB and air gun pellets ( the gas powered sort) thankfully i was covered in armour so didnt relly hurt just a few small bruises!

although i have been shot at twice (guns are illeagle in the UK so its not the normal thing to do) strangley i didnt stick around to ask what they where! i know one was a shot gun as i was out on a farm, the othe was a hand gun and judging by the sound it was a larger calibre than a .22!

fired all sort of fun guns from MP5's to M16's mostly in Thailand on a army Base but some in firing ranges on air bases, my uncle always used to carry a Browning High Power as his side arm in the RAF, he has been in some on the most dangerous places on earth with special forces as a Rupert (funny pics of him dressed as a rag head with a AK in his wallet) but only ever (that he admits to) fire his gun in anger....to shoot a snake in his villa! and now he is Brass within Nato! whats the world coming to!

i was at an archery range and was retrieving my arrows and some idiot couldnt fire straight and wasnt paying attention (he shouldn't have been firing at all...jackass) and i hear the scream of an arrow miss me by a foot or two. That could of done some damage (woulda hit me in the leg)

Well...I've been hit with a BB and a paintgun on the hip and forearm.

I've been around or involved in several gun related events.

First, I was like 6-8 years old and there was a drug/rent/car related fight outside our apartment building in Miami Beach.

Then, in a shoe store in downtown Miami a lady who was really upset came in and told the owner she wanted to return some shoes. It got heated and the guy slapped the lady...then she ran out and her boyfriend came in to kick the guys butt, but the store owner pulled out a gun (38 if I remember). Me and my brother were stuck in the store trying to get some AC...but thank GOD it ended OK.

Last time, I was sitting on a bench after football practice and I notice a car with 4-5 guys in it parks about 30 yards in front of me. The guy in the passenger side was looking at me and they looked like little gang punks. So...the guy get's out of the car, I grasp my helmet ready to fight since I assume (like gang cowards) that they are going to jump me or use a nife or something.

(I'm basically alone around 5PM in front of the school waiting for my mom to pick me up)

So, the guy (who I recognize...he has been in gangs and dropped out of school for some time) walks right up to me and pulls out a gun (also looked like a 38) and stares at me while pointing the gun at me. I just stare back (like a dummy, thinking I didn't want to show him I was scared of him...like a dummy, I should have screamed like a woman and ran off)...after about the longest 10 seconds of my life. He smiles and says he is just playing...and starts asking me if I was scared, and I smile back and nod.

So...close calls, but I'm happy I've never been shot. What's funny...is that I use to tell people, Miami aint so bad...TV just makes it look that way. But...then I remember how many close calls I've been through and now I don't say anything...lol.

Got stabbed in the hand with a pencil by my brother, one heckofa long time ago. I think I can still see the lead that broke-off in me.

Had to dodge a javelin which was thrown at me from about 40 yards away by a meathead friend of mine while walking to school one day. Really didn't think much of it as I ran away from it's path of trajectory (where I was), until it sunk into the dirt, the way javelins do, about 4 feet away from me. Then we were both like, "holy shit! that was a dumb thing to do!".

Cant claim to have ever been shot at. But I have been in some pretty intense 4th of July wars. Had a 3 foot rocket go by my head so close it left little burn holes all over the left side of my face. That was cool watching that go by. Kids are sooooo stupid.

While we're on the topic, i got this one beat, my brother took a full on slapshot that met with my left tenant. I was on the ground for half an hour yelling.

Oh, I guess I have been shot by lots of paintballs (I am a semi-pro hoping to be a pro player soon). BTW they are .68 caliber and fly at +/-300fps. Speaking of RPG's, I have a friend that was hit in the head with an RPG round. It flew through the cab of the Duece and smacked him in the head cracked his kevlar helmet and gave him a concussion and sore neck. The stupid insurgents failed to pull the arming pin so it did not explode!

I've been paintballed a few times, and believe me, its not like the actual lead bullet propelled by gunpowder. Not that it doesn't hurt.

paintballs are painful only when your not really expecting to be shot up such as when you slide past a bunker and you look up at 5 guys staring at you with $1k+ guns that fire 25bps+ at speed sof 250fps+ (ouch?) regardless i have about 5 paintball scars and some real nice bruises.
