Hello all, i'm new in here. I've been watching the forum four a couple of weeks but that's my first post.

I' m very intersted in this car and i visited a dealer a week ago to ask him.

He said to me that there will be a panhellenic presentation of the car in mid September and the sales will start in the end of the year. But nothing is sure.

Does anybody Know the schedules for european countries?

I'm so excited, even though the money are not here(i will come up with something), and the car is expensive(it's about 40.000 dollars in Greece, the High Power, full extras though), but I don't Know when the car is arriving. There is no preorder for RX8 in Greece and nobody Knows enough.

Any advice will be helpful.

Thank you in advance and glad to meet all of you.

As Car mag quotes:"It's a car we'd buy only from the brochure".

Same case with me.

Thanks

OK guys, I am not in Greece right now, but I have bought the latest DRIVE, in which it says that "official date" should be around End of September-Begining of October :(

And I was really bummed to see that the Std-Power will arrive in Greece probably around mid-2004...

The first RX-8's will arrive in Greece at 15 - 20 of October. The lucky buyers have pre-ordered them from February! If someone orders now a new Mazda RX-8 he will purchase it near Christmas or a few days after January 1st...

ME geia kiolas.

I don't have the money now, so I will wait. Don't know for how long.

The thing is I 'm still paying my current car, and I can't sell it.

If only I waited for a few months.

Thats the problem in Greece right now. A lot of people have bought cars with monthly installments, and they cann get "out of it" very easily, unless they suck it in and take the losses (selling it as a used car). But anyway, cars were not meant to be exchanged every year or so, so its not a problem really.

And dont worry: maybe you cannt get it now, so what ? Wait about 1-1,5 years, then you'll be able to buy the latest "crop", one that will have all its problems ironed out ;)
