why not ask them in the exhaust thread, rather than starting a new one ... :spank:

B/C I don't like highjacking threads that are talking about another subject. That thread obviously now is talking about power on the dyno and it's a good one. So why step in with a question like this?

Thanks,
Rob

I believe that somewhere along TurboXS's thread states that the tips are 3".

You mentioned silencers or something for the tips. Are they easy to get in/out, and what do they look like?

They require simple hand tools to remove one bolt that holds them in place.

I really want to see this exhaust pics on a car. I'm debating on the Greddy SP2 or this Turbo XS but I need to decide which looks better in the rear.

Thank you!!

Nathan i sent the pics. To everyone who looks at them my car is really dirty...i just cleaned up the tips and wiped away some stuff from the plastic around it. There seemed like a little buildup of stuff(idk what to call it) around and near the tips for the first few days and i assume it was burning of gas and some other things...anyway the car is going into the body shop on the 12th and then it'll be cleaned so ill get you some more pics then

Not bad, but I would personally prefer if the tips were further out. They would be too far within the bumper, especially with aftermarket flares.

yea my car is really dirty and it will stay that way until i get it back from the body shop, audio shop, and pfsupercar tuning...i figure i'll get it detailed after all the works been done on it then ill post another pic.

oh yeah, you guys definitely have to extend the tips out further, the plastic surrounds melt easily, ask me how I know :(

We've run the exhaust system as is on our car in Aus for a few months (cat-less) and not had any plastic melting. That's not to say it couldn't happen if someone were to spend a good deal of time banging off the rev-limiter or tuning their Emanage to split flames, but we've got enough miles on this system to not be concerned. If the tips were single walled I might agree with you. However the double wall tip creates a nice insulating space and prevents the outer section of the tip from getting too hot. In any case we will obviously keep an eye on things and make changes if needed. When we go to general release of a product like this there are always new things that we learn by putting it in the hands of hundreds of customers vs. running it only on our cars.

With that said, I am not really familiar with the aftermarket bumpers available on the market, and I can’t say how well or how poorly this would work with them.

My concern is that I have the INGS rear flares, not the oem. Its fiberglass, plus I have turbo, so I'm pretty sure I'd melt something quick. This is an example of what I mean. I don't think it would work well with anything other than the oem bumpers, but then again I don't know. I don't want to be the one to experiment either.

ok, I didn't catch that the tips were double wall, so I'll concede to your experience

I still think it will look better with the tips projected out further though :dunno: cosmetics aren't usually my personal forte, but the majority of US enthusiasts are generally all about showboating :Eyecrazy:

Frankly, cosmetics are not generally our forte either. I readily admit that we are more concerned with performance than anything else. I realize that our exhaust may not appeal to everyone's taste in looks and/or sound. I also realize this is an impossible task to do as taste is very individual (as evidenced by the all the riced out cars you see on the road). However, we are capitalists and we do want to sell as many of these systems as we can, so we will take your concerns regarding how far out the tips protrude and any other feedback you may have under advisement.

Thanks,
Mark

Do these tips stick out about as far as the stock tips do?

I really would like to see better pics of this exhaust on a car.

Thanks,
Rob

Apparently yes and no. For those of us in the states, no, but for those in the area it was designed in, yes. I guess we have different bumpers.

How much are we talking here 1" or 1/2"?

Not sure. I'd like to see a picture of this exhaust from someone in Australia, and in the U.S., just to compare how large the difference is.

they seem quite stock looking but the performance gain is what sells me on it but for the price i might get the agency power one who knows i will just up and buy one one day

pretty sure the agency is not a true 3 inch exhaust. if it were it would not bolt up to the stock cat.

TurboXS, I'd like to add my vote for longer tips and maybe 4" tips. If you make it, we will buy it!

The performance improvement is what sold me. The tips not sticking out didn't bother me none.
Here's a profile shot of it. Any further and the tips can't be seen.

If you are looking for something similar to the Turbo XS then our system would work. Everyone I have talked to that has this system loves the sound.

Yes bolts up to the stock cat or will work with a midpipe. I dont have a car in here with it on, so I cant get a picture of that.

but honestly the velocity will gain with a smooth transition from smaller to larger than an abrubt change also when it abrubtly changes it acts as a megaphone increasing the volume level of the zaust. but i dunno i honestly just don;t have the money for the tubo XS i just can't see dropping a grand on 1 but thats just me. DON;T GET ME WRONG!!! THE EXHAUST IS AMAZING AND I LIKE THE LOOKS. it also shows up all the others in power but like i said 1000+ is out of my budget. i only make 13.50hr unlike alot of people on this board

I think that TurboXS has done an amazing job, the tips just need to extend out a lil farther and be a lil bigger. I love the 4' tips of the greddy.

yeah, I'm intending to use 4" myself, 3.5" isn't all that common
