Herblenny 07-29-2003, 07:20 PM Wondering if RX-8 owners from Alabama is interested in joining out "Mazda Rotary Car Club of Alabama"..
Our club members include engine/turbo builders, fastest twin turbo RX7 in USA.. and etc.. We would love to have RX8's in our group..
We'll be doing events such as dyno runs, ECU tunnings, track events, social gathering (dinner, lunch, picnics, drinks), and now opened "Barber Motorsport" Events..
Also we are having our first Offical meeting on Aug 3rd, 2003
at the Birmingham Race course (aka Derby track). 10AM to 4 PM.. its combination of AUTOX, cookout, and first meeting..

For our next event is on Aug 30th.. Steve Kan from Gothan Racing.com is coming up here to tune some single / twin/ twin hybrid turbos.. Should have some high power Rotary cars in Bham area.. After tune/dyno, we will have a cookout at the new BNR facility out in Moody, AL..
Sept 19-21st, Steve Kan is coming up here again to do another set of cars from SE area.. this time, we will also attend Barber Motorsport Part event (Super bike Races)..
Depend on number of members who are interested, I will try to get group discount and special parking area.. I will contact Miata club of Alabama for better pricing for members..

Time 12:30 -2PM.. Afterward, we are heading down to Pelham to help fix RX7..

Here are our events for month of April.
April 3rd, 2004 - MRCCAL Monthly meeting 10:30AM-3PM at the Speed South. Its their 3rd annual Open house/car show.
April 24th, 2004 - Arsenal Car show in Huntsville, AL. Few MRCCAL members will attend this show.
April 25th, 2004 - Drift ATL at Road Atlanta in Atlanta, GA. If you are interested in this event, please contact me.
April 30th, 2004 thru May 2nd, 2004 - The BIGGEST Rotary get together outside of California... " ROTARY REVOLUTION" in Indy, IN. Currently we have 7 cars going up to Indy and I'm organizing a caravan to meet up with other rotorheads in TN, GA, FL, and maybe KY. **Contact me if interested in caravan**
Hope to see some of you at one of these events.
