This is the second consecutive month that we've run this course. The weather in Southern California is finally starting to feel fall like. It rained just last night, so the roads were still a bit wet in some spots, and we did have to deal with rock debri/run off in a couple of other areas. We were anticipating some greater run off than we actually saw today. The weather today was between low 70's (at our meet point), to as low as low 40's as we climbed to the city of Crestline. Sunny with a few clouds. Round trip today was less than 80 miles, and we saw a lot of terrain which made it interesting from the high desert to the mountains.

Thanks for looking, and hope to see you out at one of the next San Bernardino meet cruises.

Vipers got a new paint job and picked the car up just that morning. The paint still needed to cure a bit, and with the anticipation of some rocky roads and run off, he left the newly painted ride at the meeting spot.

This is the beginning of HWY 138...more of a high desert section. We were anticipating some major run off here from last nights rain. Usually, in the winters here there is a shallow river running across this road which makes for some interesting pictures. No water today.

3rd pic is of my car. It seems that I only get parked shots of mine...since it's kinda hard to get cruising pics of myself.

I thought the 1st and 2nd pics looked cool...as you can see the cars infront as well as inback of me. We got stuck behind a big rig moving some rather large equipment here...so it was quite a slow cruise for about a mile until the turnout. We decided to turn around once we got to the top...so that we could start again.

The second go around was much better. No other traffic to bind us up.

Great pictures guys... And, sorry I couldn't make it. Unfortunately, I decided that I had to watch my school (UCLA) get their asses reamed by <cough> USC.

Oh well. I'll try to make it next time... :)

Well, it's not everyday the 2 cross-town rivals butt-heads. SC was favored by a lot, but it ended up being a blow-out... <lol> I should've just woke up early and joined you guys though. But, oh well... :(

Took the words right out of my mouth. Makes me want to take a trip to So-Cal just so I can do meet some more members, and have some fun. :beer05:

Great pics Keith, gret run great day. Oh and thanks for crusing with me in your 8, it is a big difference then my ride and makes me contemplate new mods even more so. As for the cruises in S Cali, you should Check out the Malibu Run in the West Regional Section, more of a moderate to dificult run hence no action shots, concentrating on the driving...but very exhilerating.

This is very true. Malibu would be considered more of the black diamond run. Crestline is a 3 on a scale of 1-5. I tried action shots the first couple times I went, because I had a co-pilot with me taking them. She got thrown around so much, half of ouur shots were so blurry we couldn't even tell the color of the car we were trying to shoot. The curves there are challenging. The only reason I got action shots here was that there were long straights in some sections, and then in the twisties, we got stuck behind that heavy equipment vehicle before he turned...that's why we were so bunched up in those shots.

I got dibs on riding in Moostaf's if he shows...

I'd met this group @ SS8 but it was my first time going on this cruise...HIGHLY recommend it.
