My names Ben from the UK. Just stummbled across the RX8 forum after purchasing a 6 Speed Black RX8 Type-S (250psi) from Japan.

I'm a big fan of the rotarys, having imported around 20 FD3S into the UK..

Very pleasing to see the surport, good reports and interest the RX8 is generating already..

I have one question for you. Did you import your RX8 from Japan to the UK or are you living there? If you did import it how much did it cost to get it over there are what, if any, were the fees to "naturalize" the car?

Yup we have just purchased an RX8 Black 6 Speed Type S, can't wait... we now have a long wait for her to be de-registered, shipped (5 Weeks), custom cleared, UK converted and SVA tested (can not register without an SVA certificate).

But all being well should still beat the UK delivery date (keeps being pushed back, now Nov/Dec / early 2004 i believe)

Bugbear- are you in the UK too ? i'm in Hertfordshire:D


I really like the look of this forum, so many members and posts..I'm amazed at the popularity of the RX8 so soon. I think we have another legend in the making, i thought the RX7 was gonna take some beating...
