Yeah, I'm pretty happy I got the appearance package now. I'm definately not disappointed. I like the spoiler too. Can't wait till they put on the exhaust finishers and the fender strakes.

I'll let my wife know, but I doubt she'll show up. First, I think she has college class that night. I lose track of her damn schedule, and I don't know what days/nights she has off. Second, she is not into the "show off the car" gatherings and meets like they do at the Chik-Fil-A. You might have to wait for me to get home so we can have a boys night out. I'll keep you posted.

I found out they DID have the parts. They told my wife that they didn't have time to install them today, even though the salesman promised over the weekend that everything was to be completed by Monday. Well I called the Sales Manager long distance, and told him I was HIGHLY disappointed because his salesperson promised us the car today, and there is no excuse why my wife has to bring it back on Thursday to have the accessories installed. Well, he authorized a service tech to work overtime, and they installed all the accessories (strakes, exhaust finishers and MP3 player). See what a little "bitchin" can do. Anyway, everything is installed. I'll have the wife take some "updated" pics that show the strakes and exhaust finishers.

Oh Man that is JUST what I want!!! Gorgeous!!! Thanks for the picts!! Please post some more when you can. I am soooo jealous!!! :cool:

Here's one pict of the exhaust finishers. It's hard to see because of the lighting. I'll have my wife try to take some better pictures with the light highlighting the chrome.

I'm a civilian contractor working for the military. I'm not really stuck here, so I kind of lied. I can leave when I want because I'm not under no commitment. But, I told my company I'll stay till 1 October, which is long enough considering that I have been here for 19 months already. Long time, but it's nobody's fault but mine. The money has been very good. :D Bought me the RX-8 for which I can't complain.

I've got pretty well the same package but in Titanium. I'll post pics soon (just picked it up yesterday, and enjoying waaaay to much :-)

Those "strakes" look wicked! But I can't see spending $400 cdn for those things, that's CRAZY!

The options are really overpriced IMO.

And whatever happened to the foot lamps in the mirrors? Now it's a $160 option!

Yup, identical except for color and the "pissers" on your front bumper.

The appearance package, rotary accents, strakes & spoiler look good on the titanium too. I'm not sorry I got all those options.

The car looks totally cool! I am jealous. The appearance package and the rotary accents really add to the already awesome car. I like the red! I hope to get a silver one someday!Enjoy........your wife is sure having fun!!!!:cool:

Says just use Testor's model paint from Walmart. Believe it or not the experts like this paint the best and it's cheap!

I saw the thread on painting the calipers. I might do that, however, if I do, I''ll probably go silver, black or maybe even yellow.

Mark, That would be quite the stunt driving the car back to your "base" huh!?

PS: I still haven't seen another 8 on the road, not even your's:D

Car looks superb. The appearance package really makes the car stand out. Thanks for the excellent pictures.

Just a note on painting the calipers: I'm not sure I would recommend using regular Testors paint for that job, it will probably not withstand the heat generated by the brakes. You should look into a purpose made product, like the high temp plastic coverings available, or just buy some high temperature engine block paint.
