I guess I'm glad I got a DLP this thing is pretty neat.
Dunno if I want to spend a grand on it though.

IBM 3D TV
International Business Machines, a worldwide leader in technology innovation, has announced a new and affordable 3D video system that works with normal DLP (Digital Light Processing) televisions. Before now, 3D video systems would set you back at least $1,800 while the price of IBM’s new system is expected to be only $1000 – if only a grand sounds cheap to you.

Ya but, what about programing? It's not worth a cent if there isn't anything to watch with it.

They mention it in the article. One of the strong points would be video games.
It also said that they are getting the components to make 3D programming a more wide spread thing.
So far I've put more than 3k hours on my bulb and its still running.
Also none of my friends have seen "rainbow" effects.
My best friends CRT has convergence issues and the picture is dulling in a radial pattern, he's had it about 3 years, he would have to get it re-calibrated and possibly have a tube replaced, which would run him more than 400$, he said he's thinking of switching to DLP after seeing my t.v. and reading up on it. :D:
I'm really happy with my purchase of a DLP set. At the time it was Half the cost of a CRT of the same size and quality, and a 1/3rd of the price of a plasma/LCD
It's 61" and 100lbs. My freakin 27" CRT is heavier than that :mdrmed:

Take your DLP propaganda out of here...:nono:
LOL
The debate over who has the best PQ will probably never end until one of these new technologies mature. With that said, I'm glad you love your DLP! :Peace:

One of the rumors floating around is actually that the Nintendo Revolution might be supporting bare-eye 3D graphics. It's an interesting prospect, especially with the controller which senses its own position within a room. Something like that really would really jack up interest for the thing through the roof - I can only hope they do it!
Imagine hacking up monsters in a Zelda game as if they were actually in the room with you - TOO cool!

That's the Holy Grail of video gaming! The day they do that I'll be VERY happy because we all could stay in shape as we played video games. Imagine actually being IN THE GAME that we play… :Drooling_
