I haven't played the game in a while, and decided to pick it up again. I honestly think the RX-8 is the best car in there. In the 1/4, I can get it down to 7.32. In the StreetX, I literally run circles around whoever. The thing kills! I tried to find a better car for the 1/4, but the only thing that came close (trying most of the cars) was the RX-7. :wiggle:

Its been too long since I have played, so I dont remember actual 1/4 times, BUT, I can say that the best few cars belong in the Mazda family. I dont feel the RX8 is the very best the game has to offer. I think the performance of the RX7 slightly edges the 8 out. And the miata, I have found, is the quickest and nimblest the game has to offer. I say this through trial and error because I had my entire drilling rig hooked on it for a few months, everyone had their own favorite cars, and the miata was always the winner ina majority of races, no matter who the owner, or which miata. The RX7 I think is a smal bit faster in acceleration then the 8.
I am sure others wil argue, but this is what I have witnessed on a rig of 120, 80% of which played the game for $5 a race to the winner.

It all depends on the track in the game. I will either use an RX8 or and RX7. Both are great, but I haven't gotten all the cars yet.

The skyline normally rules in games of that type, but in NFSU2 it is about on the same playing field as the 7 and 8.

Yea, I just LOOOOOOOVE the Skyline. If only I had $200000.

Eh, I've seen a few Skylines over here, but I'm not too big on them. Too overplayed I think.

I tried the Miata, and already pulled a 1.07 on the StreetX course in the dyno thing. Didn't do very well on the 1/4, but handles like a dream.

I did break into 6's with a 240SX though.... Even though (assuming I get all shifts perfect) I blow the engine after EVERY run. LOL I think it's pretty funny.

I always run the skyline. I have gotten it to a 7.80 in the 1/4 mile. With everything possible done to it and perfect shifts.

What gearing did you do? You want to make it top out at around 165, with the highest ratio you can... It won't be able to do more than a 1/4, but it will do it fast....
