delivery charge
I found the car I like in Atlanta, unfortunatly I live in NC and I don't really want to use my vacation time for work (I don't get a lot) to fly down to drive my car up from Atlanta. What's an approximate deilvery charge to have them deliver it?

I investigated using a transport serivce to deliver a car from Arizona to New York.
Round numbers - it's about $1000. You can pay more by getting door-to-door service or pay less by getting the car delivered to their nearest facility at the origin and going to pick up at their nearest office to you for delivery. You might save more if your regular auto-insurance will cover the transport, otherwise you must pay the transporters an insurance fee (or take your chances).
Most of the dealers on E-Bay have links to auto-transport companies. I suggest you browse there for some companies.
Another chance you are taking is that some doofus who doesn't know a rotary from a lug-nut will flood your engine, possibly fouling your plugs and ruining your catalytic convertor.

The other option would be to handle all the paperwork by mail and then pay a friend to pick it up, and hope 1) he shows up, and 2) did not take a 500-mile detour. Some areas have services that will do this as well, but I think the dealer to dealer route is the best. the may have someone they use. One of the dealers here had retiree who picked up cars from other dealers.
