I have been following this story for a while. They are supposed to go to the Boneville and see how fast this baby can boogie. I think it's flooded right now, so they're doing tests at an airport. I always wondered how fast one could go.

it will be interesting to see how fast they can go, an airport is one thing, but the salt flats are a far cry from a smooth F1 circut....it will be interesting.

 

True. They did testing at the salt flats earlier this year. And I remember reading that the driver was having a hard time seeing the cones to guide him becuase he was shaking so badly his eyes couldn't focus.

 

im wondering whetherthey will remove the wings in order to reduce drag.

Just for anyone else wondering. They are running wings. The car will adhere to FIA regulations.

 

FYI 400 KPH = 248 MPH. That's ******* fast. I bet that thing will hit 300 MPH if they had room.

That's even faster than the Veyron. Of course, that thing is street legal. That's damned fast, though.
