I own an RX-8 and love the headlights and would like to put them on my other car a 2005 impala. First of all is that possible? Any idea where to get them? And how hard would this be to do?

thanks

Are you talking the whole headlight housing or just the HIDs?

If you're talking about the entire headlight assembly (from the backing all the way to the clear covers) that'll take some serious mod work, but could be done. I've seen some really wild light conversions before. One local guy actually put some sort of cadillac lights (Escalade, maybe?) on his Civic. You'd just have to order it all from Mazda. If the rest of this car is any indication, though, Wiring might be a bit tricky.

If you're just talking about the Xenon/HID's, there should be plenty of aftermarket companies offering conversion kits you could use on your car. Like this site for example: http://www.autoaccessorystore.com/resource/hid/helios2.asp

it can be done, but it will probably take alot of time and money... unless you know someone who knows someone who owns a custom bodyshop.....

you have to find a reputable shop that can handle it. There are many shops here in so cali that can pull it off..but conversions are old and a thing of the past.

a rx8 conversion on your chevy will cost a bunch and look funny IMO

Just get a set of aftermarket HIDs. Get the right ones, and it'll be brighter than our cars. Do the impalas have stock projectors?

You can get a cheap HID kit for about $250. The good ones run upwards of 500 bucks like mikeb said.
