I have received in the mail a parking ticket from the City Of Baltimore. The thing is I was never in Baltimore City on the said date and time of the violation. What is the best way of fighting this issue? It is for $27.00. I know it is not much. But, I was not there that is the point. Please advise / help ... Thank you.
Anyone have this happen to them?
First thing to do is call them. I had that happen to a rental car. Got a parking ticket for a city I had never traveled to. Called them, explained that it was a rental car and I'd never been to their city. They canceled the ticket. (I suspect someone copied down the license plate number incorrectly.)

This also happened to me. They suspended my license because I never paid a ticket that I never received. I called the city and asked them what kind of car it was. They told me it was a Lincoln Town Car. After that it was easily resolved, but I still had to ride into the city and get letter from the city to have my license reinstated. Then I had to drive another hour to the DMV to show them the letter and get my license back.

They suspend DL's in Jersey for parking tickets? Pretty harsh. Most states just put a lien on your car or not allow you to register/smog it until paid.
