Well, it looks like Hercules has had his car for about 3 days or so. Anyone care to guess how many miles are sitting on the odometer?

I can venture a guess... :)

Post a few guesses (in the post, not in the poll) and I'll post my odometer tomorrow :)

Well...if you are posting this after a whole day of driving on Saturday...then definitely over 500 miles! I know that's what I'm doing today!

As of Saturday morning..., which is the fourth day (I didn't drive on Saturday yet)...

My unscientific calculation of your gas mileage is 13.5 MPG. Of course, you can't rely on the fuel gauge for exact accuracy, but I think we all know you are winding it out just a bit!

Just got back home from a trip to Deal's Gap ; I've had mine now for 9 days - anyone want to take a stab at the number of miles, the low or high MPG? (I've obviously been away from the forum for about 4 days now - so excuse any ignorance, I may not be able to catch up) - but if Herc got 13.5, he may be lower than my low. I still have to calculate everything from the trip yet. I'll post more tomorrow about the reaction to the RX-8 by those who love their Miata(s) and are generally enthusiasts in general, and about the performance in the Tail of the Dragon. Those in the LA area, think "Mulholland Dr"(sp?). For the rest think "gas, brake, left, gas, brake, right, etc." in about .5 - 3 second increments. 318 turns, 11 miles.

I've put on 300+ miles in the first 2 days. The first tank was done at 266 miles. It took 13.4 gallons to fill her back up. That is 19.85 MPG! Not too shabby for a car that spent a lot of time in stop and go driving always with the a/c going.
