you've argued about its pronounciation with many americans or others.
WE know how to say it right.
here's a funny link about that and the soup in general:

thats awesome. most Pho places around here (DC) aren't quite as creative. They just are PHO__________ (insert year between 75 and present date)

That number after pho actually represents the district or county(or whatever its called) the owner of the restaurant is from.
For example: I live in orange county. So if I opened up a pho restaurant I would call it Pho Orange.
So if the restaurant is called Pho' 79. The owner is from #79 county. :Peace:

wow, i never knew the county is the number. So Vietnam had numbered counties? (I was only 6 months when i came) :) I always thought it was a sentimental year (hence most of them being in the 70's).

Damn guys, throwing my name about. WHAT DO YOU GUYS WANT!?
heh..
My girlfriend told me a couple days ago that Pho is pronounced "Fuh"
There is a restaurant called Phukit Thai not too far from my house.
Even the local radio station called them up and made them say their name on the radio. :yelrotflm
We have a Pho restaurant nearby. They have a menu with many variations. Each one has a picture. The pictures are all the same!!! Lol. My poor western mind. :p

I say it like "foo" so I can ask people "wanna have some pho foo?!" I don't care how to pronounce it, as long as I get a bowl of pho.
mmmmmm...I crave for pho every night and I'm not even vietnamese. I've always heard stories of people getting hooked on pho(nics), but I never believed it until I got hooked on it myself.
