Just made a reservation for my rental (P.O.S.) car. I'm flyin' to Fla., for vacation. I can't wait to see what I get to drag around in a state made for my 8, which will be sittin in the Geerage, ALONE!!!!!!This Sucks. Anyone feel my pain? :wallbash:

I was in FL last week with a new Mustang Convertible.
It might have been fun if it was a GT and a standard...
However, it really wasn't terrible. Suprisingly enough, i got a TON of compliments on it. Wished I could'a put my 8 or the Miata in my luggage, though.
From regular rental channels, the Mustang 'vert is probably your best bet. I'm not sure on how many mainline rental co's rent miatas.

I know how you feel bro. Last week I had a rental car for a week. A sorry pontiac Vibe. That car really sucks.

Rented an auto convertible Mustang in Tacoma over 4th of July. Same thing, lots of compliments and looks (kind of like the 8) It was a good car over all, did pretty well in the corners too...

Jay and I have (kind of) a rental car for the night. His car is in the shop, but they gave us another RX-8 to drive :)

FL is not made for the 8. In fact if there is a worse place in the US, it might be somewhere in the great plains. Flat and straight...that's Florida.
