So 12 of us from Las Vegas were supposed to be flying into Cancun on Fri. 10/28 but w/ Wilma destroying the area we're now wondering where to go instead. I've been to Cancun 3 times and loved it each time. Cabo is in the lead, but were considering Acapulco, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan. I've never been to Cabo, Acapulco or Puerto Vallarta. Just wondering if any of you have and would recommend one place over the other. Thx in advance. vegas.

I was in Acapulco many years ago and enjoyed it. Then again, I *hated* Cancun, so maybe mine is not an opinion you want to listen to. :)

I've been to all and Cabo is not as the same bust still most similar to Cancun of the choices you listed.

Yes, the plane trip is longer, but if you can make the time to go for at least a week, and can spend more, the difference is impossible to explain with words.

i was there last year, stayed at the esperanza hotel. it was simply amazing. in fact, when we got home, we redid our entire back yard to resemble the scenery (landscaping, lighting, etc...)(it was all getting redone anyway)
