It may be a little early to be making a thread about this, but this type of forecast really makes you feel great.

Notice the 90 degree curve the storm is projected to make? Must be all the attractive babes we've got down here or something.

And articles like this one...

Yeah we're keep an eye on it down here in FL. Of course it doesn't help that the news/radio keep scaring the CRAP out of us.

All i can say to that is.."HERE WE GO AGAIN".

P.S. Thank GOD i couldn't make it to Halloween Horror Nights this weekend, would have sucked to have to cancel!

Every time they update the track (the tracks that bring it to FL at least) it keeps moving a little more north each time.

My guess is a hit north of Punta Gorda (where charlie hit) and south of Tampa, so right in the middle, with a track over/near orlando, and leaving the state just north of Titusville/Cape Canaveral. I think it will make land fall as a low Cat 3 storm...so around 110mph.

Thats my forcast. Well see whos right.

Yes...again I think Miami will dodge yet another bullet and it will hit central Florida.

There's a pretty decent chance the current Great Lakes low won't pick this thing up and pull it North and West ... and the longer it continues to drift West the more than chance increases. That would be the best scenario obviously, but bad for Mexico.

--- and as always, I have to say that I AM a Meteorologist, not just 'guessing'

The dang wench decided to slow down now.... Might mess up the projected path a little. Anyway things are shot down here with most things planned for the weekend being cancelled. :(

The projected path is still towards South Florida...I think all us FL people are a little tired of Hurricanes, but I sure don't want LA to get hit again.

Sorry Mexico...but it's your turn...lol

If my parents house get's almost completely messed up again, I think they are moving.

Let's see if my electricity is spared this time around..

Fuck me.....this was the worst storm I've ever experienced down here in South Florida. My backyard was torn apart...I don't have a fence...out of power for 2 friggin days....wasn't allowed to leave the area after 8PM...no electricity anywhere...pitch black streets...uprooted trees all over the place...all food and water has gone bad....no gasoline...CHRIST.

I had a smart ass attitude earlier because every hurricane that's ever come down here has only done minor damage to the area. Now that I've experienced some major losses...looks like I'll take next year's batch a little more seriously.

Thank God I had a sweet 9000 RPM revving rotary engine to drive around with during the past sickening 48 hours or I would have gone nuts.

Luckily I got my power back 2 hours ago but there are still millions without anything. Terrible ... :(

All I know is it's about time the panhandle got a break. Not that I wish bad things on others, but I'm not even kidding when I say that I got the repairs from Ivan finished about two weeks before Dennis came through and tore my house up again. Hope everything is OK for those you know and love.

well where do i start...

A tree brushed against my car, damaged the paint, part off my house roof is gone, my fence is gone and couple of trees are gone. I also had about a foot of water in my street which was flooded. I have no power no water and just a phone line which i got back today. I have very little gas too... :crying:

also cant go out after 7:00 pm i also cant work my work building has been destroyed so no work for a while...

I finally got everything back today except for cable...so I'm still on dial up. With the exception of downed trees and a couple lights that are still out, everything is pretty much back to normal here.

Also they say that when the storm hit us, it died down to a Category 1 or slight Category 2. They believe that the reason why there was so much destruction was because the hurricane had so many "microbursts" over a widespread area. I don't even know what the hell a microburst is and why I've never heard any mention of them before on weather channels. These microbursts are supposed to be extremely brief periods of 175 mph winds. I still haven't heard why this storm had so many of these...or why it seemed to do damage comparable to Andrew back in 92.
