So G-Force and I were talking about organizing an "un-official" fall run somewhere in NH or Maine within the next couple of weeks. I wanted to throw up a thread to gauge interest in this. We are thinking possibly sometime in early-mid November. If you are intested, post to this thread and say when you are available.

Justin:

I would be interested in doing a Fall Run too. Gonna be different just attending an event instead of helping run one :) Is this going to be a day run or an overnighter?

It prob won't be an overnighter officially. Since its short notice we won't be able to block a set of rooms at a hotel or anything. It will be meet, drive, eat, go home :) As for the weekend, prob 1st or 2nd weekend in November.

That works for me. Count me in. You shooting for a Sat event or Sunday? Has Roger, Chris, Chee, or Paul shown interest? Are you shooting for just 8's or a rotary crowd? Just curious...

Sounds interesting..any detail on some possible route?

A small planning suggestion from the peanut gallery :p ....if we're going to eat someplace as an endpoint of the ride, lets go a bit upscale from a chain eatery... my stomach can't take the indigestion these bring up later on.

Sign me up! I think 1st or 2nd weekend in Nov will work, but I will check my schedule later tonight and will post if anything changes.

I can probably get a bunch of Mazda Protege guys to come along, but I am not sure if you're down with that.

Hey guys, glad to see we have some interest....
Looks like we are planning on the 5th of November. We will be making a New Hampshire run. The route is not quite set yet, but I promise it will be fun, a mixture of everything....
RPIRX8 and I just completed the install of his coilovers, the car is sick.

Hey Astral welcome, and yes the Proteges are welcome too, also, as well!

Bravehrt3, cool they are still available, yes I do want them.

Spin, we will find an upscale place for you to feed your belly.

rxgrl, nice to see you joining us again for the run. I can still see that move you made in the last run... Guys, this girl can drive.

downshift. Glad to see you with us, don't forget your camcorder, you had some great shots this past spring.

wvnh. as mentioned above, the route is still being worked on, will have a route for all by weds of this week.

willhave8. does your post mean that you will be joining us?????

my10ae. Will you be joining us????

Remember guys and dolls, this is just a fall run, a get together to rub elbows
and to show off our cars, and have a little fun while we do it. Remember, what you do while you drive on the streets of New Hampshire, you are responsible for
you are responsible for your own actions. THIS IS NOT A CLUB EVENT......This is just a bunch of friends getting together............

Don't forget to bring your talkabout radios. I have 4 so if you do not have one, let me know, perhaps you ca borrow one of mine....

That's it for now, I will have more info on weds.

Drive Hard!!!!!!!!!!!

Alright sports car fans, here is the scoop on the run.
We will meet in Lincoln NH. at the McDonalds at exit 32 north bound, which is also route 112. 9am meeting time to go over the route, pass out maps, and get to know eachother. We will start out on our drive at approx 10am. From there we will go over the kancamagus highway into N.Conway. From there we will make a brief run into Fryeburg Me, through Evans Notch, and back into New Hampshire. We'll take Route 2 into Lancaster NH, and stop for some grub, and to fill up. At this point we will start the second half of the run. This is pretty much the same trip we took last year, with a twist. we will start to work our way back south in New Hampshire. I am still working on the second half of the run, and will be posting that in the next couple of days.
In the event that someone is running late for the AM meeting, please give me a call on my cell at 603-252-6176 so that we can delay the start of the run.
McDonalds parking lot is large enough to handle all of our cars. as you pull into the lot, drive in to the right..........

Sorry guys I can't make it. I have my last Miata Club meeting on the 5th. I'm planning a "smaller" run with some of the guys from the RX-8 Web on the 6th. Everyone is welcome but please be aware this is a very small run compared to the one G-Force is putting together.

Hey G-Force, someone from msprotege mentioned this:

About RT 112
I drove the K. highway (rt112) from lincoln to north conway on the 19th and they were doing a lot of road work. They had utility vehicles paving on a huge section about in the middle of 112. I don't know where they will be at the point of the run. Someone might want to find out what the conditions are like. Just thought I would let you guys know.

You can't ask for any better conditions than that. Sunroof open, cruising the back country roads. NICE!!!!!

Thanks to G-Force for picking the routes and getting everybody together. It was a very nice day for driving and it's nice to put a face behind the screen names. I gotta give props to the guy (YuYuRena?) with the Ti Gray MS Protege who drove all the way up here from Connecticut! And then back!

Along with cameo appearances from "a small animal", a Hummer and a deer, this is one run to remember :)

Hey Astral, thanks for putting up the pics. They look good and I like the way you scramble the license plate numbers :) I took less than 10 and none of them came out very well at all. I hope Bravehrt3 can find a server to host the videos that he took that day.

Astral the pictures come out great. I have a few more pictures to take before i can get my pictures developed.
