FRUSTRATION (white climate control connectors)

I CAN NOT GET THEM OFF, my hands are red and slightly bloody and i am loosing my mind ... any tips on their removal?

I installed my PIE this weekend, the large one (behind the fan speed ****) comes off by putting a small screwdriver on the tab on the bottom of it and pulling backwards. The other one I'm not sure of. I was able to get the radio out far enough to hook up the PIE with that one still plugged in. Works great !
