Just curious, to all you lucky owners that have already taken delivery. What was the mileage when you took delivery of your car?

10. I noticed the standard test route around the dealership was 6 miles, so the car probably showed up with 4 and someone ran the route before I came in. :confused:

4 off the truck, I put on 7 during the test drive and picked it up the next day with 11.
4+7=nobody else drove it but me.

went i walked into the dealer to test drive my car to make sure i still wanted it had 9, by the time i left the dealer i think i had 19 on it =p

Mine had 6, and I picked it up directly at the port.

Although technically it had more when it was officially delivered, after I drove it to the dealership...

6 when I first got to the dealer. They insisted I go for a drive. So by the time the paperwork was filled out it was 18.:D

For those of us that have not taken delivery yet. We could safely assume that anything over 10 miles should raise some questions to your dealer

about 2, a little less. Rolled right off the transport truck into the detailing bay and around to the front of the dealer nice and gassed up ready for me to take it away.

130 by the end of that night :D. (7/21/03)

4.5 when I arrived at the dealership, 5.3 when I finished my test drive. However, mysteriously it ended up with 12.6 after the tech took it to get fueled up. :eek:

About 130 on it today at noon.

About 8 when it rolled in, but 14 after PDI; those gas stations must be hard to find :)

You should only assume this if you pre-ordered your car. Dealers can't prevent the cars from being test drove by customers. We have a Silver 6-speed sitting out front that has about 90 miles on it due to test drives, and its only been here a week. Sure the manager needs to use good judgement when it comes to "potential" buyers, but with a price that most adults can afford, its hard to say "no" to test drives.

As for the managers and the salesman taking the cars for a spin, we had a demo car brought to the dealership today by a guy that has been driving cross country demonstrating the car to the salesman and even allowed all of them to take it for a spin (after they signed a waiver).

But yeah, if you pre-ordered and it ends up with anything over 15 miles, I would definitely be pissed.

Wow! Most the other postings are so low. Mine arrived on 7/15 at the dealer (evening) and I bought it with

47 miles on it.

10. No complaints except for fuel economy. Hope it gets better without constant AC.

Mine had 4 off the truck and two added by the PDI and salesman to fill it with gas.

Technician told me that they have to run these for a couple of miles to burn something from the exhaust when it comes in. They have to redline in 1st and 2nd gear as part of the procedure.

Mime had 4!

I know the ones at our dealership will have a couple of extra, as we are going to the gas station to use 91+ octane for our customers and not just filling it up with our tank on the lot which is 87 octane. :)

i'd be very surprised at that red line comment. i'd like to see that in writing.

If anyone still cares:

4.4 of which was placed by Dealer Tech to drive it as part of PDI.

Clearly anything over 10-12 miles means someone got either a test drive or joy ride. If you get screwed, just print this entire thread and show the dealer!!!

Part of the PDI is a test drive. Mine had 5 when it showed up, and 10 after the PDI. An old guy test drove it. Now, I bought it on Tues, it has 377 miles.

Did you preorder that? If so, I'd be infuriated. The dealer should in no circumstances let a new car recieve that many miles.

theres something very wrong there. wayyyy too many miles

Mine had 4 kms on it

Mine had 8 miles when I received it. I quickly added 10 miles when I test drove it. :)

Before PDI = 2 miles
After PDI = 8.3 miles
