Lots people in my town generally think American is the best, imports are too small,etc. When I mention build quality, efficiency, innovation, and other qualities, they say things like," Well, they can't hold eight people at a time!" I think most of them are put a bit out of proportion anyway. It used to be these type of things were ignorede. Now they recall everything. It does not bother me. I would rather they ask me to come back in for incremental improvements. Almost all new cars end up with a few recalls...it happens. I have a 2001 civic that crapped an alternator. god know how many gen7 civics there are out there that have the same alternator. It's a 3-7 day special order almost everywhere.
