There is already a video on this forum of the 8 doing 184 on a dyno. It was posted like a year ago.

Just do a search on the site for "184 mph", and 10 different threads come up with it. Its been around awhile.

There is an old airfield here in Dallas where they do high speed trials. If any 8 owners are interested, we can always find out the true high speed over there.

I doubt you get the same result if you did this on the road, since there was no type of wind resisitance. The aerodynamic drag would definetly slow you down a lot especially with the rx8 with its poor drag coefficient.

Wont any car reach 210 if driven off a high enough cliff? (law of gravity?) Any braniacs know how far the car will have to fall before it reaches that speed. (video not required)....

Isn't gravity 9.8 metres/second?

No, but humans hav3e a terminal velocity of 120 MPH mabe if you do the math CD of humans * weight/120mph = CD of RX8 * 2800/X X=Terminal velocity of RX8

Is that an African RX-8 or a European RX-8?

<LOL>

It's one of each, held together by a line, under the dorsal guiding feather....

no, the question is...

If you drop an RX8 from 10,000 feet and there is nobody to hear it, Does it make a sound?

...
...
......

......
.......

........
.........
(crash)

And does it matter for that matter,
If you drop an RX8 from 10,000 feet you should be strapped IN IT. LOL

Hahahaha. The cabin doors are open & no seat-belts buckled. This obviously was on a dyno and not on the road. Otherwise, why no quick camera pan to the road as proof.

Tsk tsk

Dropped a Nissan 240sx from a Huey at about 500-1k feet. It hit the ground going pretty fast.
