I like how they mounted the DEFI BF Link Controller where the ashtray used to be. Very Nice. If you'd like to send another one of those lids my way, i'd be more than happy to drink a few cases of Pepsi.

 

I first looked and I thought "Sweet, an Rx8 race car" then I looked farther and I thought "WTF, why are there still back seats, and is that a subwoofer" I'd be shocked if this thing ever saw a track. Good thing it has a cage.

 

It is a car done for show at SEMA, basically stuff everything you can into it and make it stand out. Nothing more than a show car, and possibly a dyno queen. I doubt it will ever see the track.

Turbo or Super ?

 

That is actually where the NX Ntercooler bottle goes for the FMIC. Not a Sub. There is subs in the trunk, but they are removable. The back seats weigh 10bls, so no need to pull them out. This car will be competing in the American Touge 2 battle by Best Motoring in December, so trust us with the suspension setup and HP this car is for real. It is ALL go, and lots of show, how a true JDM car is built!

We will also be having this car in some Drift Demo before the 2006 HIN tour. You will see some events as Formula D and D1 by some pros sliding it around.

I'm not sure if it looks better or worse than what they started with. The red wheels look retarded. The front bumper looks awful. Mismatched colored hoods are so late 90's, they just look like your trying to be trendy today. And all the stickers look dumb too.

It's like they couldn't figure out what color to make the car so just threw everything at it.

 

still think this car rocks - and if it's got the Renesis, I STILL think i can beat it. i got peeps in tuscon, so maybe i'll come out there and we can do some tandem battles... :D

acutally came out pretty good for a show car.. not my cup of tea...what kind of roll cage is that? Custom

 

I'll be at Sema taking pix of all any any modified RX-8s... including this one. :P Can't wait to see it in person to judge for myself... pictures sometimes don't do it justice. I kinda liked the Veilside kit on Robert Shaw's car when I saw it in person.

It's a Pepsi color scheme. It wouldn't make much sense to have a Pepsi car that was green would it? I'm not a big fan of the kit, but others seem to like it. The stickers are part of the sponsor thing.

There are reasons for most everything that was done to the car. If you don't understand it just ask questions instead of telling them how shitty the car is.

 

I thought you where refering this as a "Race" car. Now it's still a POS that's a drift car.
