View Full Version : break pads recommendation any one ? RX8 XTC 09-27-2005, 07:52 PM well my breaks need new pads so what are good breaks ( dust free ) if thier is any out thier. Just need to know of a good place to buy them from. thank you. Nemesis8 09-27-2005, 08:00 PM I have Hawk HPS ready to go on soon. Purchased at raceshopper.com RX8 XTC 09-28-2005, 10:58 PM hay nemesis if you dont maind me asking how much did you pay for urs ?? i found them for $125+ shiping ?? good price ? DPE 09-29-2005, 10:34 AM We recommend Carbotech Bobcats. Less dust, higher fade resistance, and a higher coefficient of friction than OEM or HPS. I'll have them in stock by early next week. $119 front, $89 rear. Yes, they are more expensive than Hawk, but they are also notably better pads. I also do sell the HPS for $130+shipping for the front and rear set, if that interests you. They will likely dust more than OEM though (they do on other applications, but I haven't actually seen the results on the RX-8), so be aware of that. Mugatu 09-29-2005, 10:50 AM i wouldn't recommend breaking your pads. But I would recommend you use your pads to BRAKE. ;) Nemesis8 09-29-2005, 11:01 AM hay nemesis if you dont maind me asking how much did you pay for urs ?? i found them for $125+ shiping ?? good price ? HB470F.643 HPS $60/set HB378F.565 HPS $59/set This is first item that I did not order from a Forum Vendor due to time constraints. I would highly recommend buying from a Forum Vendor first.
