Here is a pic of the clock I bought on eBay made from actual RX-7 combustion chamber and rotor. it's approx 12" high and 12" wide at widest point (base). Weighs about 30# (the rotor is steel and very heavy. The combustion chamber is aluminum.)
Sorry the image is fuzzy, the flash didn't fire.

Yep. Got it at Atkins Rotary - made from reject refurb parts.
They sell the rotor only as a clock (see link: http://www.atkinsrotary.com/store/customer/home.php?cat=572 )
I think they have fewer reject combustion chambers. But, I'd bet if you call Kathy at Atkins, she's probably hunt one down for you.
Good luck.

PS: dmp: like the red rotor. I looked at all the rotor colors avaialbe at the time and silver was the best for me (unfortunately, they don't have the rorots in Nordic Green).

I'd had this rotor and housing for years rusting in my garage; my friend's brother's RX7 bit the dust so we tore down the dead 13B motor and each kept a housing and rotor from it. He got his chromed and put it on his mantel, which I thought was really cool, but I didn't get around to having mine done.
My boyfriend managed to sneak it out of my garage without my knowing and had it powder-coated for me for Christmas. I love it! It sits in my entertainment center now.

i was wanting to buy one of these, but i'm not really a fan of the actual clock face. Does anyone know if the clock is easily taken out? i'm assuming it is, but i dont really know.

Indeed - the clock just slips out. If you like, I can get you a measurement so you can find a clock of your choosing.
