If you are doing a true "East Coast" don't forget there are a lot of people South of you. I vote for Myrtle Beach, it's close to the middle. Lot's to do also. Not that Jersey isn't at the top of my list of places to visit ;)

What about the Virginia International Raceway with parade laps and more if you dare? VIR is on the Virginia - North Carolina border near Danville VA. Specific dates would be September 20 and/or 21. I don't have details but have heard some special RX-8 plans are in the works.;)

Here is information about Virginia International Raceway (http://www.virclub.com/pages/track_info.htm)

Hey, Jersey is closer to me but you wouldn't have to twist my arm to hard to get me to drive down to Virginia. ;)

Currently, six RX-8 owners will be there. When I have 'official' information on specific RX-8 celebration plans, I will post a new thread to the NE Forum. Unofficially, they are thinking private parade laps on the 3+ mile course, RX-8 corrall, RX-8 door prizes and other things.

Three of the RX-8s have signed up for the performance driving course that weekend at VIR. Any of you that want to consider this high speed driving course follow this link (http://www.mazdadrivers.com/) and scroll down to the VIR information. Their website shows the course is already over 80% full.

added: Forgot to mention Danville VA hotel information is also listed on the link above if anybody would want to make reservations at the group rate.
