OK, guys. All you waiting on your RX-8's in England.......

My family and I are coming to London in December to see Eddie Izzard at the Wembly Arena. All is arranged except a hotel.

We have 5 days to enjoy the sights, and while I have been to England many times, but only to London for one day (gifts at Harrod's), my family has never been. I am familiar with the underground, so transportation is not an issue. I need recommendations from people I trust - and who better than fellow RX-8 enthusiasts???

Where should I stay? What are the good parts and not so good parts of the city? Should I look for anything in particular when looking for a room for three (there does not seem to be much selection other than "single" or "double").

ANY help would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to send me an email or PM if you would prefer to do this privately - I can provide you with more contact information then.

Thanks in advance.........

I can't help you with advice about accomodation but a good excursion for anyone (and family oriented) is the London Eye. Here's (http://www.londoneye.co.uk/) the link. I've been on it twice and it's well it.

speaking of London, i hear the mayor of London has offered a substantial reward to whomever can invent an air conditioning system for the underground. is this true? if so is there a wed site or submission info? i think i'm on to something.

Yes, that's it. It was always intended for a limited life but more than just the millenium period: however it has become SO popular and such a part of London that I expect it to stay permanently. Think Eiffel Tower, exactly the same happened there, it was only supposed to be up for 12 years I think.
