Anyone see this episode of Hot Version?! It was amazing what Fujita Engineering has done with the RX-8!

If you don't know, Hot Version is a japanese magazine DVD released once a month. It has many features such as circuit racing coverage, drifting, special event coverage, and many other things! They also have a special section every episode that has a "Touge Challenge." They take Japanese tuner cars (FEED, HKS, Spoon, etc. etc.) and race on a "Touge" or mountain road. They have a 500, 300, and 200 class which is based off on horsepower.

The FEED RX-8 competed in the 300hp class and it did AMAZING. If you are looking for a DVD to watch, pick up the latest Hot Version! It was so awesome :D

No it's not swapped. It's the stock RX-8 engine at 200PS. Tsuchiya, Orido and Tanaguchi all give the RX-8 alot of praise for it's sweet handling.

And I love the FEED body kit ^^

And I love the FEED body kit ^^You mean 300ps right? And volume 5? that must be an international version. The Japanese DVDs are up to vol. 70 something. But this does seem like an interesting Touge Battle, I'd like to see it. Which cars did the FEED RX-8 compete against?

I got the DVD while visiting Tokyo last spring. It's hard to find in the US, pops up on ebay now and then.

Amazingly, the RX-8 won! This was a damp and twisty track, under cold conditions. The "Drift King" Keiichi Tsuchiya was driving the 8, maybe that had something to do with it. (Nobody better start a flame war about this again, it was beat'n to death in the previous thread. I'm just reporting what's in the DVD.)

Got my copy this week. Excellent Hot Version!!! Go to their site (BMI) it's their latest release. Best handling car was the 8 but Tsuchiya in the S2k toyed with Orido in the final round.
Great car but imagine what it would be with HP in the 300 neighborhood.

it's funny how the drift knock the rx8 as "powerless". Didn't seem like he like the rx8 at all until he drove it. Funny how it participated in the 300hp class when it's clearly only 200.

Nice! Ya, lots of people knock on the RX-8 until they drive it. Oh well, its good to be the underdog.
