Control arms drilled-out for endlinks. What to do with Recall?

I finally checked my mail and I got a recall on the control arms. Problem is, I have drilled them out to install rb endlinks. What do I do? I did see that olddragger had the same problem, but no resolution was posted. Anybody have any actual experience with this? Do I just show up at the dealer and trust they will figure it out? (NOT) Do I bring my old sway and endlinks, let them put them back in, then have to reinstall the beefer sway? Can I just pick up the control arms and put them in myself ?

I also got a recall stating that they will be installing a new hyperion atomizer that will bring the HP back to factory specs plus 20hp and improve gas mileage to 24 mpg city, but they ONLY WILL BE INSTALLING IT ON MY CAR!! Sad to be y'all

I'd suggest reading the previous threads on this topic. Find out which control arms require replacement and then check yours to see if they have those markings.

Thanks, that is a good idea; however, I was hoping that someone would let me know how their dealer responded to replacing drilled out control arms. Wheather my arms have a forge marking of K4 on them or not does not negate the standing recall.

Yes it does. If your control arms do not have the markings in question then they are not replaced and your concerns are moot.

That was a concern of mine till I checked my arms.
https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...&postcount=179 Worse case would have been a 15 minute labor bill from the dealer to drill out the new ones. Before you post any further you need to check out your control arms. I have not seen one post from somebody that had to get theirs replaced.

Really? Sorry, that wasn't how i read the thread. So the dealer just looks for those marks and replaces only those, returning the car unchanged if no relevant marks are found? I will check and see what I have. Thanks.
