hey everyone i was thinkin bout doin some suspension stuff in the near futur and was curious about how your opinion on the H&R springs was. If now what would be a better setup i am more into spirited driving and maybe an occasional open track day (never done it and would like to try) i was also thinking koni shocks. any ups or downs with them just lemme know what kinda setups you have and how happy you are with it thanx folks

 

I am looking at Koni-FDS now. I am going to check on if and when they will be for our cars. Anybody with knowlege on these new shocks?

 

I believe I am talking about Koni-FSD.

 

check DPE--vendor at the top of the page. They have a Koni/tein springs setup package price that is hard to beat. It is the set up I am going to use at some point(money). They are good guys with lots of experience.

The H&R sport springs will tighten up your suspension without making the vehicle extremely stiff. This kit would also lower the springs 1.25". I think that if you are trying to build an everyday driver into a weekend track car the H&R would be a great way to go. If you wanted to increase the way the vehicle handles corners even more I would recommend using the H&R anti roll bars. They will help keep the vehicles body parallel to the pavement which helps distribute the vehicle weight more evenly giving you the ability to corner at higher speeds.

I sent an email to our Koni rep to see if he could tell me the availability on the FSD suspension. i probably will not have an answer until this coming week. At this time the only vehicles that the FSD will fit are BMW, Audi, Volvo, and VW. As soon as i have an anwser i will post it up here.

Just an update on the Koni FSD suspension. I attached the reponse from the our Koni rep.

Thanks for the interest in FSD. At this time the two RXs are not planned for FSD as they are more a sporty car and and we have very good adjustable Sport dampers for them. For FSD we are targetting more the touring cars that are less likely to be lowered or have drivers looking for adjustment (Audis, BMWs, Magnum/300C, etc.).

Your inquiry is the first that I have heard for these cars but I will note it and see if we get more interest.

H&R wouldn't tell me the exact spring rate but they said it is 20-25% stiffer than stock when I asked them about a year ago.
