I was requesting information on the Pontiac Solstice (just curious, not giving up my RX8 even if gas prices hit 7 dollars)...

Anyway, there is a form to fill out for a brochure..

Click on the link http://www.pontiac.com/solstice/request.jsp and then click on "Get a Brochure by Mail" GO button.

The question that asks your current vehicles in your household do NOT list the RX8 as one of the Mazda vehicles. They also list the protege as prot?g? WTF...

I guess Pontiac figures that no RX8 owner in their right mind would get a Pontiac, not even a solstice... (which looks like the first cool car that Pontiac has made in AGES!!!)

I think we had an 8 owner or 2 hop into GTOs so I don't think they are thinking that as much as it might be an oversight!

Solstice looks a bit like the Miata. Doesn't it?

Car and Driver put them against each other (solstice and miata) in the latest issue so check it out. A GTO would definately beat an 8 but I really think Pontiac could have designed it much better. I work for the railroad and we set out autoracks in b'ham, al at a "waiting lot" so to speak for cars ready to go to dealerships. Since the keys are in all of them and they remain unlocked, we have test drove many of them. I do like the GTO b/c you can rev it hard and the car will rock noticeably. Plus I like how all the gauges float to max on startup and come back down.
