I'm beginning to wonder if RX-8's are ever going to make it to my corner of the woods! I live in southwestern VA, and have yet to even see an 8 in person. Neither Mazda dealership in my area seems to have any idea when they're getting any. The waiting is killing me!

Well, there's at least one person in Richmond with a velocity red, because he was driving it like a maniac at Capitol Mazda Friday. They have a couple others, but I don't know if they've been snapped up yet or not.

Richmond and DC metro area are about as far away from me as you can get and remain in Virginia. I'm in rural southwestern Virginia (near Roanoke). I guess I just have to keep waiting.

Not here in Raleigh. I believe one dealer got one (of course not a pre-order). My dealer has 8 cars on the second east coast boat. I hope it lands this weekend or today.

Hey, not exactly sure where blacksburg is. But I work at oyster point dodge and Kia, and the other day I was delivering some cars over to hampton Chevrolet. They have 3 there. One is either a demo or the owners car because it always has dealer tags on it. But that one is the souped up red one. They have two yellow ones on the lot. They are on display in the lot, so my assumption is they are for sale. That's in hampton VA. So I havn't seen any others in the area. But it's a start.

Blacksburg is in southwest VA, about 30 miles south of Roanoke on I-81. Blacksburg is the home of Virginia Tech.

My dealer and another one in the area each got 1 RX-8 so far -- a Red GT and a Silver Sport. I got to sit in, play with the controls, look under the hood of the Silver Sport (but not drive it) last week. Absolutely awesome!

My dealer tells me mine should be in about 2 weeks!

Update: After telling me this past Friday that it would be 2 weeks before my car comes in, my salesman called me this morning to tell me it had just rolled off the truck at the dealership! What sucks is that it's going to be a couple days before I can get my ducks in a row to pick it up! :(

New update: I managed to work things out and picked up my new 8 this evening!!! :D And it's well worth the wait!

I'm in the Virginia Beach area, and I should be getting mine within this week. I can't wait for it.

virginia beach here also....i had mine for a month, and havn't seen anyone else on the road.

I haven't seen any 8's in the area. We'll have to meet up sometime.

I'm in VA Beach, Shore Drive / Chicks Beach area. Have had my 8 for 3 weeks, now and love every minute of it....
