Schneegz 09-01-2005, 02:08 PM Yeah, I know this is a car forum, but these bikes ROCK!
Read about them here. (http://motorcycleusa.com/Article_Page.aspx?ArticleID=2454&Page=1)

My personal favorite (and possibly my next bike) 2006 FZ1 with new aluminum frame and swingarm, and current R1 engine tuned for more midrange torque and rated at 150hp.

NgoRX8 09-01-2005, 02:41 PM HAHA, I agree these bikes are nice. Love high revving :D
KYLiquid 09-01-2005, 03:37 PM the yamahas are nice, i would go Honda CBR-RR if i got another bike (former suzuki 600/1000 GSXR) but the R6/R1 are both great bikes and VERY aggressive looks.
If money was no object of course i would go for a ducati/aprilla.
That black R6 is way sexay!
BlueEyes 09-01-2005, 06:46 PM 17500 rpm redline on that r6. Insane.

   Those things sound amazing. I wish I had extra money for a bike like that, but I think I'd opt for the Honda CBR series as well, I like the looks better and from what I've read they are nicer bikes. I'd have to test both out though to know for sure. Someone gimme teh monies :D
j_s2000 09-01-2005, 09:10 PM its on sale right now too......starting at $45/month for 24 months...

Aoshi Shinomori 09-01-2005, 09:22 PM its on sale right now too......starting at $45/month for 24 months...
its $80/month for 2006 r6
Is that for leasing? Am I wrong or does that come out to 1080 for the bike?
j_s2000 09-01-2005, 09:39 PM haha....there is no lease for motorcycles....
its $80/month for 24 months with no money down....after 24 months then u can buy it off....then sell it
adrian-1 09-01-2005, 09:40 PM It's $49/mth 6.9% for 24 months THEN after the 24months the interest will go way up on the balance (over 7000 if you've only been making minimum payments.)
Your best bet is the fixed 6.9% for 72months but that's not available on the '06 sportbikes, but it is on the '06 cruiser lineup.
RX Renesis 09-01-2005, 10:32 PM my friend just drove 2 R6s to camping... i wasn't there but i hear everyone at the camp site was just staring at them... lol.... guess what they drove there to camp... a ceyenne S, H2, RSX, and i heard some other cars thats expensive... and guess what, they're all kids.... rich ass bastards..!

Schneegz 09-02-2005, 02:48 AM 17500 rpm redline on that r6. Insane.
What's insane is that 10 years ago F1 cars didn't redline that high, and that R6 comes with a full warranty!
NVMYGT 09-02-2005, 10:44 AM The R6 makes me feel kind of funny, like when I climb the ropes in gym class.
djseto 09-02-2005, 10:55 AM in the 600cc range, the Kawasaki 636 is the bike to have. My next track bike will be one, but really, all the 600cc sport bikes are awesome..man..I miss my bike
cas2themoe 09-02-2005, 03:33 PM Yeah my friend has one. Its sad to say, but I give him a year before he's dead. Those things are death traps, especially living in an area where its very dense with cars!
BlueEyes 09-02-2005, 03:37 PM I've always wanted a bike. I have my liscense and ride my freinds on occasion. I kinda want one soley for the track seeing as how everytime I ride on the street some nimwit scares the shit out of me. It's cheaper than running a race car, more dangerous, but probably just as fun, if not more.
wedge357 09-02-2005, 04:38 PM how about a Harley??? :D
playdoh43 09-02-2005, 09:44 PM time to take a student loan, save money on gas :)

Much more fun. There's nothing like leaning one over so hard in a curve that you scrape the pegs on the asphault. Makes a real good spark shower though :D
StealthFox 09-08-2005, 04:14 AM lets not forget these yamahas also handle just about better than its competition, and the R1's power is very respectable, though not the fastest in its liter class.
the yamaha's are the top dog of japanese bikes in terms of all around performance and balance.
and all of kawas stuff up untill recently was junk, terrible quality, plus steering problems with some 90s ninjas :O
MadDashRX8 09-10-2005, 10:39 PM Sold my 02 R6 last week. Very sad to see it go. Not the right time for me to have a bike. But the good thing is, having sold the current bike frees me up for buying another one here in a couple of years! 2010 R1, HERE I COME!!! Maybe it'll come with a supercharger, or single-sided swingarm, or 250 hp w/o forced induction?!?
